Re: [gospelsongwriters] Re: New Member - Songwriters

That's a very sweet poem Denton. It's one of hope, faith, and love. Do you submit your poems on poetry.com? Just curious. Here's a first draft I've written of lyrics of faith:

I Found My Gold

Words by: Holly Rorie

Verse 1:

I set the pace

Walkin’ on through the sky

Cause higher up in the clouds

I’m about to fly

Verse 2:

I thought it through

I know who

Trust with my life

Always there

You show you care

Every time

Chorus:

I’m an eagle and you’re my wind

We will go far

Soaring high through the sky

Right through the stars

No limit now and it is how

You freed my soul

Like the pot in the rainbow sky

I found my gold

Verse 3:

Hold my breath

At my last step

Before I soar

But I can trust that

You’ll be there

Like you were before

Verse 4:

I spread my wings

Steady my feet

Leave the ground

And there you are

Supporting me

You never let me down

Chorus

Hi Hollie: I would love to hear your songs - For the talent for the writing of the songs, poetry , or anything is truly a gift.
I'll share with you and others a simple jingle - given to me by the inspiration. -
"In the Earth made new where the skies are blue, and the clouds are silver lined, where people speak when spoken too , there, their love is not defined by what they do or what they say or how they comb their hair, but how they treat each other, I'll be looking for you there in the earth made new where the skies are blue."
