Petshop Boys, Sneaker Pimps and Madonna plus a signature outer space
sound all their own. With an extensive catalog of ever evolving music,
yet always true to electronica, Dance Planet X is an experience not to
be missed live, and is certainly a treat to enjoy on a personal level

REVIEW

This amazing EP from the versatile Dance Planet X is a delightful
tribute to the films of Tim Burton and the music of Danny Elfman. DPX's
renditions of the seasonal classics "Silent Night," "Deck the Halls,"
"Little Drummer Boy" and "Auld Lang Syne" are amazingly original and
refreshing. That said, DPX manages to make keep the three Christmas
carols very traditional as well. (Even your mother will like them!) Also
included is their fantastic cover of "Kiss Them for Me," originally
recorded by Siouxsie & the Banshees and...... a never before released
unplugged of their..... Winter Wonderland. Review by SamSam as published
in Radio Free Abattoir.

DANCE PLANET X-MAS CHILL Q & A:

what inspired Dance Planet Xmas Chill: Oh, boy...This was a difficult
situation..not the the production or the recording, but some of the pple
we had around us at the time.! Let see, we were at our weekly party
Electro-a-go-go/South Beach and my bandmate, at the time, who was in
charge of our equipment gleefully announces that he FORGOT MY MICROPHONE
AND SOME OF OUR GEAR so we weren't going to be able to perform that
night ! My sister, who's very protective and does not take kindly to
punks and dubious behavior, got very tiffed at the whole thing. Me, I'm
like ordering another Patron-reserve shot and an Amstel light....He
turns to me says, "Oh don't worry about your sister, I know how to
handle her." So, to diffuse the situation, he's starts telling
her.."oh..we have this great opportunity to do some Xmas songs and
distribute them...etc..

I'm like OMG! HELLO...that's my sister. You don't toy with my sister
AND tell me about it! Is this just a little game to you, you
ASSHOLE...(thought this, didn't say it! lol!!) So that's the DARK birth,
ironically, of our Holiday EP.....haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....Within all that,
I'm like oh, that sounds like a good project, actually, even within his
manipulative timing.

Soooooooo, I'll be DAMNED if I turn out any CHEESY Christmas
music....so it suddenly occured to me....WE'LL TRANSPOSE ALL THE SONGS
TO MINOR KEYS and that'll take care of it, I thought as I laughed and
downed my shot of tequila finishing it with a private smile!

how long did this track take to produce?

Needless to say, after the above story you can well imagine that
'Asshole" was not to be around for this project...The minute I "x"
someone, it just takes care of itself...He was gone and all Irygirl and
I could do was 'THANK THE GODS ABOVE".......HAAAAA. Each track took
about one month...not of continuous work, of course, but of TIME.

any special significance in the song you'd like to point out? I'd like
pple to listen carefully to Irygirl's delicious, masterful arrangements.
I'd like pple to notice the vocal harmonies and the slight variations in
the vocal synchopation and to enjoy the old world charm the minor keys
unleash! It's quite enchanting, if I may say so myself...I 've never
come across Christmas songs in Minor. Perhaps, we're the first to do so.

any one you want to credit in the aid of the track? Irygirl and the
yuletide gods and goddesses who whispered their approval in our ears.

KISS THEM FOR ME Q & A:

what inspired Kiss Them for Me (remake) A guy I know who hosts band
events was planning a Tribute night...He calls and asks 'Hey, I want to
book you for my Siouxsie and The Banshees portion of the night and
you're the only band I know in Miami that can pull this off...so will
you do a remake and perform it next month?"...I immediately said yes,
since I really like the Banshees, but as the date approached, I really
JUST was not up to it. My good friend at the time, Sandria, gave me a
little push... right at the moment I had decided I just wasn't gonna do
it. Of course, once we started, I was super happy we did the work.

how long did this track take to produce?

My bandmate (at the time) Shiva and I sat at her Mac with her
keyboard..and we got right to it...My first decision was to slow down
the track, at least at the beginning and change the key..Which we
did..we start in E and switch to F once the song kicks in....and then, I
wanted to be sure to use a couple of orchestral sounds...Cello,
piano...The piano notes were getting lost so we played them in double
time and I'm pretty happy with how that sounds...Now if you AB our track
with the original..when it comes time for the break, I didn't even
listen to it...We just did something entirely different and methinks it
works.

any special significance in the song you'd like to point out?

Well, did you know the song is a tribute to Hollywood bombshell Jane
Mansfield? Who was decapitated in a car accident? Oh, and Shiva's
guitar work at the end is just SICK! I LOVE IT!

any one you want to credit in the aid of the track? Shiva was really an
amazing co-producer and is a talent...Hats

Hello,

This is David Vesel. I'm a member of this list, and I host two Internet
radio programs, one or both of which may be of interest to you:

* Escape From Noise
(vocal electronica, such as synthpop, EBM, industrial, etc.)
Saturday nights at 10 PM Eastern US time
    Web site: http://efn.purplenote.com

* Spellbound, a brief program of music for theremin
   (all genres and styles)
Sunday nights at 10 PM Eastern US time
    Web site: http://spellbound.purplenote.com

Most of the time, I lurk, but I post this message every few months just
to keep folks apprised of their existence. Both air live on Cygnus
Radio at http://www.cygnusradio.com . Both are also available as
podcasts, and you can subscribe with your podcast client, or download
them directly, at their respective web sites. Both are part of the
Purple Note Radio Network.

If you are a fan of vocal electronic styles, or if you are an
afficionado of the theremin, I invite you to try them out.

I have an announcement-only e-mail list for the Purple Note radio
programs. If you would like to subscribe and receive a weekly-max
message from me with news and information about the programs, visit
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/purplenote/ and you can subscribe
from there. There is also a box on each program's web site for the
newsletter, and also for alert e-mail lists where I send out a message
about 15-30 minutes before each program as a reminder. This is a
separate e-mail list, but if you join the purplenote list, you will
receive an invitation to the alert lists a few days later.

Thank you for your time. You may address any questions or comments to
me at davidv@... .

trilogy of terror tracks by NY DJ saliva commandos best known for his
white label breakthrough megahit Serial buff. Serial Buff was a
favorite for DJs by the likes of , Junior Vasquez, Danny Tenagalia,

Rosemary's Baby (Fall 2006)

Rosemary's Baby, the Pet shop Boys-Esque lullaby dance track; Is both a
Tribute to the film as well as a metaphor for life and our trust in
strangers, and Friends. The song brings to the light, the dark
underbelly of the human condition which can be evil, and the Mask that
it wears daily. with soothing lullabies and lyrics, equally sinister as
they are beatifull, Rosemary's Baby is a groundbreaking Track. Here you
can here great mixes, by the Saliva commandos, Thee Werq'n B!tches, as
well as a few bonus tracks including a Karaoke track for the Rosemary
Woodhouse in us all. watch your back!
