Habitat for Humanity Benefit Dance   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #187 of 380 |
Hello,

For the past 15 years caller Eric Manley and the Rivertown String Band
and Friends have teamed up for an old fashioned barn dance to benefit
Habitat for Humanity of Omaha. This year the dance will be held on
Saturday, February 17th, 7 to 10 pm, at First United Methodist Church in
Cary Hall (69th and Cass). Eric will teach and call square dances,
circle dances, and contras, and the band will also throw in a polka,
schottische, hambo or waltz or two. No prior experience is needed, and
most children catch on pretty quickly, making this a fun family activity.

The suggested donation is $5 per person (of course, larger amounts will
be cheerfully and gratefullt accepted).

This dance is truly a wonderful way to spend a winter evening, and an
opportunity to do good while having a lot of fun. I'm hoping for the
biggest crowd yet - please help spread the word, and come and bring friends.

Warm regards, and hoping to see you there.......
Jenni
