Hi Everyone,
One of my former, very creative students, Carrie Chambers, is looking for broken/used guitar and fiddle strings for her art projects. I know some of you could probably keep her very busy with your busted strings. If you can remember, please save these strings and give them to me or someone who sees me on a regular basis (i.e. Jenni Wallace, Kathy Wood or my very own husband Chris Hunke) at GPBOTMA, Folk Song Society or other similar events? Thanks for your help in aiding arts in our community!

Subject: violin strings
Hey lady!
I have a weird question. So as one of my hobbies, I break down vintage or old jewelry and rebuild them with a modern look. I recently started incorporating my broken violin and guitar strings into my pieces and now a local consignment shop might start selling them! I'm trying to collect broken strings from local places and I'm wondering if there's a place people take them to recycle them, or do they just typically pitch them? My mom has been saving strings for years, because she figured we would come up with a way to put them to good use. But I'm running out! :) Any ideas?
How's the new job? Hope all is well!
Carrie
