They were coming through town between places, and apparently are somehow
acquainted with Jill Anderson (local singer/actress), who suggested
Joslyn Castle as a venue. They missed the World Herald deadline, and
failed to tell anyone in the local BG community until yesterday
afternoon, when Jill's mother called Kathy. So basicall no PR at all.
The funny thing is, one of the band members had contacted me a couple of
months ago looking for contacts in Western NE, which I knew nothing
about. But I did suggest a couple of venues in Omaha, as well as offer a
house concert or maybe something at the Legion Hall. She thanked me,
said she was giving the info to their agent, and that's the last I ever
heard. We did talk to them last night, and made sure they know how to
get in touch with us next time they are coming through.
