Open call to video artists

On Saturday September 19 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM We will have a program
called YouTube Iowa-. We will explore the how's and why's of this wonderful
video world. We will sample the variety of YouTube videos on the internet. We
are looking for primarily Iowa based or connected videos of entertainment,
travel, culture, attractions, historic events, etc. The Western Historic Trails
Center has a nice theatre which seats 85+ people and has a reasonably large
screen on which we will show the submitted videos. We welcome you to submit
videos for possible use in our event.

Video submission guidelines.

1. We want to highlight Iowa produced videos, but will consider offerings of
other producers from nearby (ex. Omaha/Council Bluffs Metro area) or videos with
Iowa content and/or people. Video content must be appropriate for all age
groups. All videos will be juried by Trail Center staff before being presented
and we will reject inappropriate submissions.
2. All video content must have originated with the producer. What we don't
want is borrowed movie or audio content, for example- television show or movie
footage, commercial audio, etc. Some small exceptions may possibly be made for
short clips from copyrighted material used to illustrate, educate, or compare
ideas. If you filmed a friends music act or your filmed a place you visited,
that acceptable. If you have any questions about acceptable content call Dick
Zion at 712-366-4900 and ask.
3. Submissions can be made via email. Include a link address (ex.
http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=YKASjTiqQ9o<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKASjT\
iqQ9o>) to your video (do not send the video as an email attachment), Also, your
name, address, phone # plus any other important information on your submission.
We want to give you credit for your effort and so any information you include is
to your benefit. Make submissions to

4. All submissions must be received by September 17, 2009.
Please remember that YouTube video projected onto a large screen will loose some
of its quality. Video is compressed by YouTube to make the files smaller and so
if your video is fuzzy on a small monitor it will be fuzzier on our big screen.
