Grand Funk only got the boot, because they were blowing Led Zepellin off the
stage. Zep's manager got pissed and pulled the plug on them. He also had GFR
manager Terry Knight by the throat making threats to get GFR off the stage.
As to other band I like,
Foghat, Black Oak Arkansas, Deep Purple, Bad Company, Black Sabath, Sammy Hagar,
Joe Lynn Turner, Glenn Hughes, Starz, Teaze, Boston, Collective Soul, Rare
Earth, Foreigner, Journey, Dio, Head East and a multitude of others.
I play air guitar and air drums. Although I did once have a guitar and took
lessons while inmy teens, played the cornet in fith grade band. I can play Old
MacDonald, Marry Had A Little Lamb and This Old Man on piano.

What other bands have influenced you? My buddies got me listening to
the song Brandy by Looking Glass. It's such a great song and story.
I also like Zepplin, Ac/DC, Stevie Ray and Ray Charles to name a few.
Speaking of Zepplin how about GFR getting the boot while on tour with
them. Any thoughts on that? I think it's funny, but maybe if they
would have been able to stay on tour they would have had more exposure
and now have the respect they deserve. Oh well. Look forward to
everyone's thoughts.....
