Early 1970's GFR: I was 16 going on 17

when I first heard these guys.Spending your soph.
year of high school in a TX military academy can open
your eyes to a whole new world of music. We had guys
there from all over the w.hemisphere;musical tastes to
include lots of Hendrix,Blue Cheer,Zep,Airplane,Tull and
The Who(among others).The one that stuck,for whatever
reason besides the fact that I dug it,was GFR "On
Time".Red l.p. had just come out when I was leaving(a one
year stint).I still think that the first three l.p.'s
and live album rank up there with anybody. After the
concerts...there was no doubt. If you can't do it live, you're only
half a band.GFR-best concerts, everytime.Great
memories.
