MUSIC CENTER SPOTLIGHT AWARDS PROGRAM
All Southern California High School Artists Invited to Apply
The Music Center of Los Angeles County invites Southern California
high school performers, artists and photographers to apply for the
21st Annual Music Center Spotlight Awards. The program is one of the
nation's most acclaimed performing and visual arts education programs
for teens, offering training in the arts and awarding over $100,000 in
scholarships annually to finalists, semi-finalists and participants
who received honorable mentions.
What: Scholarships and Training in the Arts for High School Students
in Southern California
Who: Students of all talent levels are encouraged to participate.
Categories:
1. Performing Arts - Ballet, Non-Classical Dance, Jazz Instrumental,
Classical Instrumental, Classical Voice & Non-Classical Voice
Deadline: October 1, 2008
2. Visual Arts - Photography & Two-Dimensional Art
Deadline: December 1, 2008
Why: Develop auditioning, performance and interviewing skills, compete
for scholarships, take special classes in your field, receive personal
feedback on your art work or performance, attend museum tours.*
When: Application Deadlines – Performing Arts-October 1, 2008
Visual Arts-December 1, 2008
How: Visual and Performing Arts applications are enclosed. You can
apply to both programs or pass the information on to a friend or student.

hardcopy. You can only schedule your audition if you apply online.
