This is a single, hand-held, camera recording from the audience of the
29-Dec 2007 "Striking 12" performance at The Zipper Factory in lovely NYC.

I created two "Channels" on Vimeo to host some GrooveLily videos that
were once on Stage6. I am waiting for Vimeo to improve its Channel
features (i.e., to allow videos to be organized within a Channel)
before uploading all the former Stage6 content.

do this click on the video's title to get to the "Clip page", and then

There is also a Forum feature associated with each of these Channels,
for questions and discussion.

[The Forums seemed to die off a while back, which I suspect correlated
w/ reduction in gigs; a pity.]

The amount of work that went into the redesign is clear - kudos.  Now
all we need is more gigs close to Albany!  [Yes, Keene is only 2.5
hours, but (i) that's not until November, and (ii) we will probably
have a 1-2 week old at that point!  Still, we may aim at it anyway..]

times (and being at one of the live recordings).

I found the interview informative and entertaining. The show's hosts appeared to
be big GrooveLily fans, as it seemed they would have been content chatting for
hours and playing GL music. They did, however, eventually get to the (somewhat)
live Sleeping Beauty Wakes performance. Great fun listening, despite being "one
cable short" of a live performance. :-)

Angeles Times).
Combining pop-rock, musical comedy and old-fashioned uplift with a healthy dose
of 21st-century skepticism, Striking 12 is a unique hybrid of musical theater
and live concert performed by celebrated pop-rock trio GrooveLily. From the Tony
Award-winning writer Rachel Sheinkin (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling
Bee) comes this story of a Grumpy Guy who decides to avoid the hectic, loveless
world on New Year's Eve, until he's visited by an incandescent salesgirl with
the promise to chase away his winter doldrums."

This is the only currently scheduled appearance by the band in the area.  If you
didn't/couldn't travel to NYC or elsewhere to see S12, now's your chance; if you
have seen it before, you know you need to see it again.

Clips from the 1997 GrooveLily Wetlands show are now on GrooveLily channels on
Vimeo. A Jackson 5 cover plus an obscure GrooveLily song "Obnoxious Macho Creep"
are on the Rarities Channel (http://vimeo.com/channels/gloldies) and other tunes
are on the main GrooveLily Channel (http://vimeo.com/channels/groovelily).

The Wetlands performance was recorded in support of the production of the 1998
GrooveLily press kit video. The raw camera footage from the show along with a
stereo dub of the soundboard recording were used to produced these videos.

Thanks to David Kowalski for his assistance with the soundboard audio, which was
subsequently mixed with the camera audio recordings to produce the live
soundtrack for these videos.

Also, kudos to the uncredited camera operators.
