Re: [guitarfx] How Do I Record With the Effects in my Recording Program (Calkwalk Guitar Trac)?

Hi Mike there is a very easy way to capture the fx sound if you have a sound card like Sound Blaster go to the surround mixer and change the record mode from line-in to what you here and the fx's will be recorded just as you hear them.

GuitarFX has fx-slots, read http://GuitarFX.Net
any fx-slot can record to wav.
to record processed sound with effects - select "Record-to-wav"
in the bottom fx-slot.

Record to another software:
Known way: have two sound cards or a multi-chanel sound card.
use 1 sound card for GuitarFX and 2 sound card for other software.
Connect 1 and 2 sound cards with an external cable.
Multi-chanel sound card can do this too without external cable.
Modern made in China sound card price is $5 only.

Also you can look at this site with VST guitar effects plug-ins
for Cakewalk etc. (no need in additional sound cards)

Hi, can anyone tell me how to record in a recording program with the
effects? I am using Cakewalk guitar tracks.
Thanks,
Jeff

This program is awesome. I did a search today for soundcard fx  programs. I
am a ham radio and some modes of communication on the radio are run  via the PC
soundcard so I figured there must be a way to run effects on a PC. I  am
enjoying the different effects and am experimenting putting a number of them
together. Does anyone know if there's a way to record your guitar (line in) with
the effects coming through in the recording? God bless.

Mike.
