Download the new version of the GuitarFX for XP
from this Yahoo Group from File section
or from http://guitar-fx.org/download.htm
Install and run it.

New version of the GuitarFX saves errors into
Error Log File, the name of the file is "dat.log".
It is in the folder where you installed GuitarFX.
Send this file to the author of GuitarFX
to guitarfx@...
He will help you!

Hi,

Download the new version of the GuitarFX
from this Yahoo Group from File section
or from http://guitar-fx.org/download.htm

New version of the GuitarFX saves errors into
Error Log File.
If previouse versions of the GuitarFX did not work
on your PC, download new version, run it, find
the error log file "dat.log" in the folder you
installed the GuitarFX and send to me this file!
I will see the error log and help you to force
the GuitarFX to work on your PC fine.

If you have sound cards like SoundMax, Ess SOLO-1
and some other the error log file can help!

Hi,

I'm a newbie and would like to run graphEdit with my guitar but don't
know what filter to add. I've downloaded the Directx8.1 SDK and
installed it. Do I have to install more filter (specific ones) to get
my guitar to scream... Or can some one send me a basic .GRF file.

hi guess....i've gotta idea
if you made your own presets and
the sound is good...
share to this forum...
coz i try to connect to
http://www.geocities.com/fender_fx
THIS IS A BROKEN LINK

-------- mumufuk --------------
Yes, I have made "Presets" folder in "Files" section,
so, it's possible.
But, remeber, different guitars and sound cards
give the different sounds. So, the same preset
can give excelent sounds on first PC and very bad
sounds on another PC. I am sure the more smart way is
to make your own www page, say, at http://www.geocities.com
(it's for free), then put your presets and SOURCE SOUND (unprocessed, clean)
and processed sounds by your presets on your PC in small MP3s, then
post the link on your www page in this group.

Hey Russian guy and Community:

I can't wait until I get a job so I can pay for my car and home then
BUY THIS SOFTWARE! I've got bugs but won't bother you until I try to
fix them myself. (I'm using W2000 Pro, a mistake to begin with). My
first few minutes and I'm already doing mind bending psychodelic
riffs and seagull sounds on my Fender FV1 electric violin!

I want to go all the way now and begin recording at home. Those were
your articles on home recording, right, Russian guy? I don't have
your name handy, sorry.

You could call this software simply FX.

---------- mumufuk coments ----------------
I have SB-128 from Creative Labs.
I installed wdm drivers from http://guitarFXsoftware.com/sb128
and use new GuitarFX for XP (http://guitar-fx.org/download.htm),
it seems latency (in/out delay)is very low now, around 20 ms.
If you had delay-latency problem with GuitarFX v2.18
I higly recomend you to download wdm drivers from
your sound card manufacturer site (all, 100%, sound cards manufactured
in 2000, 2001, 2002 have wdm drivers!) and try GuitarFX for XP
with new drivers. It seems the latency-delay problem went out!

with very low latency (or in/out delay).

or if you have Yahoo (mail) ID and Password
you can download new GuitarFX in "FILES" section

Hello!

I have just installed the latest version of Guitar FX
but, when I run it and press Start, I get the
following error message:

"mem alloc error-1 restart windows and try again"

Then the program shuts down... Does anybody know what
this could be? I have a SBLive, and DirectX 8.1
running with no problem.

Thanks!

Ok thanx.
I vahe other problem, using win98se or XP.
The screen for properties of each effect, appear smaller
than the real size, so I can't use some buttons of
effects.

It seems Bill Gates made error, coz I have several reports
that DirectX 8 SDK can kill Windows XP.

Note: XP owners don't need in DirectX 8 itself.
XP has buid in DirectX 8, but has no SDK.

XP owners need in graphEdt.exe only!
See Download link at http://guitarFXsoftware.com
or on http://guitar-fx.org
This is graphedt.exe without SDK.

Hi mumufuk,

I think your idea is a very good one and want to try it for myself. I
have been to your site and enjoyed it but couldn't find any links to
get these effects (only nice pictures!). Can you post some links here
or on your site please as I am waiting to try it out. :)

I have already got graphedt.exe from a Google search which was very
easy. Go here to download it
http://www.cs.nott.ac.uk/~jzg/downloads/ there is a guide book there
as well! :)

====================
Mumufuk coments: Thanks for graphedt!
If you instaled DirectX 8 you must see in graphEdt
(may be under "DMO" paragraph )
1) Distortion (not bad)
2) reverb from Waves (good)
3) 2D/3D MS reverb - super excelent!
4) chorus/flanger - good
5) compressor - good
6) auto gain control - I don't know how to activate it :-(
7) echo canceller - I don't know how to activate it :-(

All these effects BUILD IN by default into Windows 2000 or XP
All these effects BUILD IN by default into DirectX 8
(install DirectX 8 under Windows 98 and you will have it for free)

All these effects are ready for graphEdt!

regards,
Mumufuk

Look at http://guitarFXsoftware.com
It presents new GuitarFX conscpts.

For max enjoy you must install DirectX 8!
It has (for free!!!) build in compressor, distortion,
flanger, excelent reverb, EQ.
To be able to build effects chain you need
in grapher.exe from freeware DirectX 8 SDK,
available in microsoft.com
If you find other sites with grapher.exe please inform us!
(grapher.exe is freeware utility)
