Do you have a child who wants to make his or her own guitar? You can build a
guitar for the kids to play with on a rainy day with just a few simple
materials.
Kids truly love playing with these, and they enjoy decorating the boxes just as
much. These are a great idea if you take care of a lot of children, or babysit
because the kids will stay occupied.
Just throw some newspaper on the table and let them be creative with the paint,
markers and glue. Here's what you need:
? A shoe box ? Seven or Eight Rubber bands ? Some Paint ? Markers
First, take the top from the shoe box, and allow the kids to paint the box in
whatever colors they want. After you let the shoebox dry, you will build a
guitar by placing the rubber bands around the shoebox.
You want to place them around the smaller width of the box. You should place
them all the same width away from each other.
To allow the kids to further build a guitar that they will love, you can let
them glue on sparkly accessories, a length of string so they can place the
guitar around their neck, or any kind of other decorations they want....
