hi all luthiers out there. well, i still read the posts from this
forum time to time, but have not posted, or built and instrument in
over three years. (my kid turns three next week, that might have
something to do with it!) i feel pretty good about being a self
taught builder who successfully completed ninteen instruments from
electric guitars, bass, flat top acoustics, and a couple of archtops.
i had hoped to reinvent myself from jaded housepainter to funloving
luthier, but reality is i gotta pay the bills. building guitars just
wasn't going to cut it. i hope to one day clean all the half empty
paint pots out of my shop, and get back on my horse. there are two
unfinished projects in my hot box... a flat top (spruce w/maple back
and sides), and a single piece redwood archtop w/ indonesian rosewood
back and sides. they both have spiders living in them now. ahh well....
