In the "Files" area, I've uploaded all the Advertising rate and deadline information. I've also put all the pertinent Renegade website links in the links area. And I have placed a few upcoming dates of interest on the calendar.
As always, thanks again for reading our monthly mailing. This monthly update ensures that, once a month, you'll always have the latest Geoff Wilbur's Renegade Newsletter information at your fingertips. And if your e-mailbox is as full as mine, you'll be glad we only send the update once a month rather than more often.
b) new business portion of note
We're still running 2-3 weeks late with the printing schedule after the delays (resulting partially from my travels in February), but we're catching up, and the May issue should be on time. Expect the Spring Country Music Industry Edition to hit the mail in mid-April.
The March 2001 Street Edition -- the final Street Edition -- went into the mail this weekend. As noted last month, the Industry Edition and Country Music Industry Edition will continue to be printed as scheduled, and the signed bands we covered in the Street Edition will continue to be covered in the Online Edition. Again as noted last month, our web people have told us the Renegade web pages get 10,000 to 20,000 hits per day, so it'll still be a great place for our signed bands to get reviewed and interviewed -- almost all of the impact of the street edition was already from the online version anyway.
Finally, remember, you can still subscribe to the Industry Edition and Country Music Industry Edition at the old rates of $6/year for each edition. If you need a subscription form, go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gwrn and click on the March 5th message entitled "As promised in Saturday's Monthly Update. You MUST SUBSCRIBE BY MAY 1, 2001 to get this special rate!

2) RECENT AND UPCOMING INTERVIEWS
Interviews with blue number nine, DePoet & the Monkey, and the Baghdaddios appeared in the February-April Industry Edition. (Longer versions of the blue number nine and Baghdaddios interviews will appear in the Spring Online Edition when its up.)
Interviews with Sid Bernstein, Glenn Hughes, and Robert (Brad) Bradley, news items about Keb' Mo', the Bellamy Brothers and Ty Herndon, and Sticky Fingaz, and a Tesla concert review appeared in the March Street Edition (and will appear in the Spring Online Edition when it's up).
Interviews with Hermann Lammers Meyer, Elvis Carden, and Judy Welden have been completed for the Spring Country Music Industry Edition.
Interviews with Peter Cor, Zak Rizvi, Brian Perry, The Fusionauts, and Gerald Bair have been completed for the May Industry Edition (space permitting -- if any do not fit in the May issue, they will run in August or online).

4) RENEGADE WRITER APPEARANCES
Whenever a Renegade writer is firmly scheduled to attend at a local live show or other event and invites you to say hello (and/or personally deliver a press kit if you'd like), you'll read about it in this section.
Several Renegade writers are musicians. You may wish to attend a writer's gig and use it as an opportunity to network with that writer.
Check your local listings for upcoming shows by Renegade writers and their bands; they are Pamela West, Chain Reaction (Eric Harabadian), Divinesnapperkings (Kevin Hurrell), Saje (Steven Haidaichuk), SOS (MikeSOS), Jane Wallace (Vic Gemmingen), Mike Farley, and Fulbone (Ryan Langhurst)*.

5) WEBSITE UPDATES
The GWRN website at http://membrane.com/renegade contains articles from the Street Edition of Geoff Wilbur's Renegade Newsletter, plus additional reviews for which there was not enough space in the print edition.
The December 2000 Street Edition has been placed online as Winter 2000/2001. (As a special bonus, this online issue also includes articles from the November 2000 Industry Edition.) Hopefully, some of you checked out our MP3 stations. As you know (if you read past updates), we are now putting together a radio station for each specific industry edition, featuring one song for each band covered in each issue, including advertisers. (Of course, this is limited to bands with songs available via MP3.com.) When that coverage is a review or a small news item, that text is included, too. If your band (or a band you represent) is performing near one of our writers, please contact that writer directly to invite him/her out to the show. Each writer has the authority to decide to cover a show without receiving prior permission from the publisher. Please keep in mind that all of our writers have other jobs.
