Hello fellow HSB fans,
Just saying hello from NY. I first had the privelege of listening to
Hadden at a venue in Watkins Glen 4 years ago. After the first time I
have been hooked on his music. I last had the pleasure of listening to
HSB at the Barn in Addison,NY. If you have the opportunbity visit the

unique venue.

I thought I read somewhere that he's been working a
fairly steady mid-week gig. I don't remember exactly,
but I was thinking Columbus, possibly Cincinnati or
Dayton, but most likely Columbus. I'll be in the

WOW!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic job!!

If you are able, please try to upload it here as well. (Go to the
"files" secion at the top left pane in the Yahoo group page.)

I agree- dumb that someone would possibly balk at having a commercial
shown for free, especially since it was publicly broadcasted in the
first place.

What a bright spotlight on Hadden. I hope he gets lots of views and,
ultimately, fans, recognition, and record sales.

Way cool.

Recorded, converted and clipped. Uploading to YouTube now, but terms
and conditions of YouTube says no commercials, although why anybody
would want to stop free viewing of a commercial?

It could be pulled at any time, but I'm willing to find a way to get
it to someone if they want a copy.

Give it a little bit to be uploaded and then can be found by searching.

I have never transferred anything from my Tivo to my computer before, but I
just downloaded a program that should allow me to do so. I can give it a try
but I can't guarantee it will work, so if anybody else has an opportunity
to do this, it might be a good idea to give it a try.

Digital recordings are best. I only have a DVD player
and VHS recorder. If you have a DVR of some type,
please set it to record so that it can be uploaded to
an internet site without being converted from an
analog source.

Anyone able to do it?

The spot is specifically for the auto show, so if your
local station is showing "the show", then you'll have
a chance to see it. If your local station is showing
regional programming, it is unlikely you'll be able to
   watch it.

Digital recordings are best. I only have a DVD player
and VHS recorder. If you have a DVR of some type,
please set it to record so that it can be uploaded to
an internet site without being converted from an
   analog source.

   Anyone able to do it?

I have never transferred anything from my Tivo to my computer before, but I just
downloaded a program that should allow me to do so. I can give it a try, but I
can't guarantee it will work, so if anybody else has an opportunity to do this,
it might be a good idea to give it a try.

Subject: [Hadden Sayers] Can Someone Record the Commercial with HSB????

As you've probably read:

"In other news, many of you may be familiar with my song "Flat Black
Automobile"....a snippet of the song appears at the end of the
"SuperSonic" CD. I'm happy to report that NBC has licensed the song
for use in a Detroit Auto Show commercial which will air nationwide
between 1 and 3 pm eastern time this coming Sunday Jan. 21st. The
song will feature a change in lyrics and will feature me singing
"Shiny New Automobile". Check it out!"

This is a mega-event. Except for Britney Spears, nationwide exposure
has NEVER hurt an artist. Can someone with a DVR record this spot?
It would be good to archive it here in the files section for those
that might miss it. It would also be a benefit to get it posted to
YouTube. I can imagine someone with good taste in music thinking,
"Man, what a cool song. I wonder who does it." YouTube and MySpace
are two avenues that immediately come to mind.

Between 1 and 3 eastern (that's noon and 2 central). Tomorrow!

Can someone record it???

Bill

It would also be really cool if we could get a heads up as to what program
will be showing at that time frame.. NBC doesn't have football do they?

Happy New Year to all...

Great news hearing about the re-worked song being used in a car
commercial, I hope I catch seeing it. Seems some good news is needed
after hearing the sad news of the loss of a friend & bandmate.

And just a little note on promotion & getting folks out to see the
band in Columbus. Back in November, I was on a flight from Rochester
to Dulles/Washington, DC and the crew mentioned they were from
Columbus, so as I was leaving the plane, I told all of them that if
they liked hearing and seeing good live bluesy-rock that they needed
to check out a HSB show in their hometown sometime soon. Couldn't
resist mentioning it since it's where they live.

Take care all, LilacLynn

We were delighted to have you here and encourage all of his fans to come and
visit his new home base!
It is a very sad week in Columbus as Rick was very well known and loved.

After missing Hadden for a long time, I got the note about December
shows and decided to burn some frequent flyer miles and go see him
perform with the Frye brothers at Tommy Keegan's in Columbus OH last
month. They were great! The musical variety was tremendous, and
Hadden really ripped it up for us on some of his songs and others. I
also really enjoyed Mark's diverse play including some nice flute
riffs.

As the only person in the crowd from Houston, I had fun meeting the
Columbus folks and getting a chance to talk with Hadden. He told me
about his gigs with Phil Dirt and the Dozers - check out phildirt.com
for information about them - and said that he gets a chance to play
(and thus popularize) some of his own songs at their performances.
Overall it was a great time. I figured I would post here to help let
other old faithful fans know a bit more about what Hadden is doing
these days.

News of Rick's passing makes this a decidely bittersweet post. I
know he will be missed by his fans, and more so by his family.
