Are they moving chronologically on the remasters? Will they be releasing a
remaster of Vapor Trails soon?

Ultra Disc. I have 2112, Moving Pictures and Signals in this collection. The
Signals disc is pretty special as it's missing a coupla voacl lines form the
Weapon. It sounds really bizarre when you hear it. Anyway, so I guess the
release you're talking about is new to the Ultra Discs gold series.
Below is from Rush is a band .com

-Yesterday marked the official release of the Permanent Waves Ultradisc II 24 KT
Gold CD by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs (MoFi), although it had already been
shipping from MoFi since mid-December. It can now be purchased through other
vendors such as Amazon. This numbered, limited-edition CD is packaged in a heavy
stock cardboard gatefold replicating the original vinyl album packaging. The
disc itself is in a soft cloth sleeve which slips into the gatefold along with
the CD booklet and a MoFi technical data sheet. Reports from readers who have
purchased the CD say the sound quality is outstanding but reactions regarding
the packaging are mixed. MoFi's 180g Vinyl LP version of the album is also now
available with pre-ordered copies having already shipped.

I can't remember, but this might also be a gold disc.
There are only 3 reviews for this so far on amazon; two of them are very good,
and the third makes little sense.

never listened to a remastered version, and as much as I love the

Rush item. But I would be happy to if I thought the audio was
noticeably better or at least different.

anyone has purchased the PW remaster, how does it compare to other
