Hi all and thanks for allowing me to join your group!

I am so excited with the prospect of buying my first dulcimer. I have
been searching the internet for some time now and have come across
many opinions on what to buy and from whom to buy it from. I am very
interested in the TK O'Brien 15/14 black lacquer. I can get a
"package" from Craggy Mountain Music (includes dulcimer, soft case,
book for beginners, hammers and note guide strips) for $530.00. I
would like to get a good mid-line dulcimer because I want "room to
grow" as I improve. I am interested in finding one that will work for
jazz-ish, classical and folk/celtic styles of music, but really do not
have a lot of money to spend at this time. Will this model fit my
needs? Can anyone tell me about Craggy Mountain store? Seems that the
sound quality of this model is good. (I heard "Dizzi" play a 12/11 on
youtube). Any information will be very much appreciated and I
apologize if this is a "repeat" question. I am new to the forums and
just getting the hang of navigating around in them.

Thanks again! Georgette

(Oh and I am guessing I should look into getting an electronic tuner.
Any suggestions?)
