RE: [hammered_dulcimer] timing rythum

Something I have found helpful from harping is begin in a slow pace and gradually bring it up to speed. Your hands are learning muscle memory as my fingers do in harp fingerings. Once you can play correctly at one speed, you can take it up a notch to the next. Rinse and repeat.

Biggest and best piece of advice is patience! Speed will come after accuracy.

For me, I can hear the rhythm, but sometimes my hands aren't strong enough or flexible enough to play as fast as I would like to and still stay in tempo.  It's something I work on while practicing.  Slowing down helps.  Practicing helps.  The longer I play, the easier it is to keep exactly in tempo.
