Due to the size of many HDs its unlikely you will find anything ready
made. As stated previously you will most likely have to modify
something big enough you can find in a store.

My HD weighs only 16 pounds so its not difficult to tote around...
Now when I have to tote 2 of them along with all the rest of the
usual junk, things start to get a bit heavy. :)

That's great! Happy that I could help. A warning; I did have problems
with the equipment causing rubbing on the wheel but the bungee fixed
that right up! Also, the cart does fold down into a smaller package -
don't know why they don't show that.

And I use one of these:

it will hold a dulcimer, stand and a folding chair easily with space for
my bowed psaltery. The only trick is that I use a bungee from the front
handle to the back one to keep everything parallel to the sides of the cart.

There are about as many dulcimer transport ideas out there as there
are people. One that is very popular is called the Wonder Wheeler
Deluxe (if you can find one).

I used to think they were silly and just took up space. But I saw
the light when I started carrying my dulcimer AND my cello. I use a
converted baby carriage that can take two dulcimers and my cello and
folds up small enough to fit under the sink in the camper when it is down.

Paul.

I've seen people at festivals, etc. wheeling their hammered dulcimers around on
what looks like a dolly made especially for this purpose. That would sure beat
carrying the heavy thing like an oversized suitcase. Where can you get one of
these, can anyone tell me? I'm not even sure what to call it, didn't see one on
ebay under accessories for h.d. (any recommendations for where to get one in the
U.S.?)

Thanks! :-D

Thanks Paul and Jeff. I think I am going to have to wait and let someone help
me. I am afraid to mess with it myself.

Hello, I'm wondering if any one can help me at very short notice!

I have organised a concert in London THIS Saturday (14th) which was to include
Farshad Mohammadi, santoor, and he has just pulled out last minute! The Iranian
Community Centre are bringing a group especially!

If you play the Persian santoor, or at this stage, any kind (!) and might be
free to play for 10/15 minutes as part of a concert in two days time in
Islington, London, PLEASE get in touch!

annahamilton8@... or 07810 826483

Unfortunately as it is a charity event (raising money for the Paradise Project
and St, Mary Magdalene Centre for Refugees and Asylum Seekers) there is no fee,
but we can cover expenses...

Thank you!
