Spirit-Rhythm : A Drum and Dance Quest
July 3, 4, 5, 2009, Newhart’s Lodge will be transformed into a very special
Spiritual and Magickal kingdom. A mythic place were drumming and dancing and
community burst into bloom, where the potential, possibilities, and
opportunities of our community through our drumming and dancing will be advanced
and unleashed.
From Friday at 3:00 p.m. to Sunday at 3:00 p.m. drumming, dancing and
magickal/spiritual workshops will bloom all throughout the land.
Spirit-Rhythm’s intention from beginning to end, is all about improving
our drumming and dancing talent’s, and learning how to magickally and
spiritually empower ourselves, our drum, dance and our community.
Growing in our skills and understanding of drumming and dance, as well as the
power we raise through spiritual and magickal perspectives, we will take to
another level our talent, abilities and understanding of drumming and dance.
Polishing our “personal best,” and perfecting our gift’s and skills
to use drumming and dance to create and enhance community, raise group
will, and send this energy out into the world to influence meaningful
transformation, as well as bringing people together and spreading the love.
Focused spiritually on our drumming, dancing, and community the sky is the
limit. Potential is infinite and the love never-ending
So come with your drums and your dancing feet. Come with your desires and
uniqueness as we create and celebrate a wondrously varied and divinely eclectic
magickal community dedicated to drumming and dancing and open to divine
inspiration.
Please plan to arrive on Friday July 3 and to stay the whole weekend. We are
building a spiritual energy together and a sense of community, so once you
arrive you are here for the entire Quest. So please plan to stay the weekend
so we can put all our efforts into this!
Please know that the use of Alcohol is restricted to your campsite. No walking
around with glasses, bottles, cans or exotic beverages in bags. The Dome is
smoke free. If you smoke please do not litter with your smoke butts. Knock
off the coal, stomp on the coal and put the extinguished butt in your pocket.
We are trying to have as green a footprint as possible and as small a foot print
as possible. Please use the recycle cans, throw away the least you can, and
pack out as much as possible.
Being green takes the whole community united as one!
One Heart Community Drummers. If you have a heartbeat you have a rhythm. One

Rituals:
Opening The Way
We will experience three rituals at Spirit-Rhythm. An opening ritual, a main
ritual and a closing ritual.
The opening ritual is designed “To Open The Way.” It is designed to provide
us the ability to come together, recognize community, and appreciate and respect
each other as members of our community. We are invoking in ourselves a strong
feeling of love for one another and ourselves as well as our shared community.
The main ritual. “I am the Way.” We take it a step further and become
and be the community by giving form to function. We evoke community, by acting
and being and creating in our shared reality the essence of community and
exemplifying this by how we act, treat and love each other. Building in to our
community and experiencing through action the very best that we feel a community
is and how we demonstrate that by action!
Closing Ritual. “Saving the Way” The closing ritual is a banishing or
grounding ritual. We ground all the energies we have created, invoked and
evoked, putting them to rest so like a safe, storehouse or well we can draw
from our experience so we can maintain all the positive energy and love we have
created for any of our needs.“
