Hope everyone is doing well... Just a quick snapshot for the fall.

We have two really cool holiday gifts in the works. We will launch it here first
when they
become available. Stay tuned.

We have some really great JG-1 cabinets in stock with some great figure in the
wood. Give
us a call for more details.

We have a new member of the family that is now "Enjoying the RIde"...
Keller Williams, acoustic extrodinare, is putting together an incredible
electric gig this fall
and the Hard Truckers are proud to be a part of it. Keller took delivery of
his JG-1 with
Tone Tubby speakers this month. Keller's new band the WMD's consists of Keith
Mosley
(SCI), Jeff Sipe (ARU, Leftover Salmon, Trey band) and Gibb Droll. Be sure to
check these
cats out this November.

Brian Brown just finished up with his duties on Phil tour and is back at making
his touring
professionals' guitar cables. We should have our new stock sometime soon, so if
you are
in need of something give us a call.

Hope all is well, catch you on the road...

SP-1 Junction
Box. Brian's cables seem to fly out of the shop, so if you are ready to improve
your tone
and make the leap to "The Professionals" cable don't wait too long as Brian is
headed out
with Marcus Miller and Tom Petty later this summer as well as his regular
obligations with
his Phish family crewing gig.

Notes:

Now Enjoying the Ride. The Hard Truckers are proud to welcome in to the family
our good
friend Steve Kimock. Steve took delivery of his new Maple trimmed "Fatty" loaded

Bobby, the rest
of the Ratdog gang and now, the Hard Truckers on tour this summer.

Hard Truckers in Print. Check out the September issue of Vintage Guitar Magazine
for a
great review of the Hard Truckers "Fatty" 2x12" Guitar Cabinet. The cats over at
VGM put
the "Fatty" through its' paces and we passed with flying colors. As a matter of
fact they
liked the cabinet so much, they bought it. A great read in a great magazine on
newsstands
now.

Hey Now Everybody.

Hope this finds you well on this July 4th weekend. We had an incredible week of
testing on
the new 2x15 Bass Cabinet and it passed with more than flying colors. We
searched out
some of our special friends to demo the cabinet and take it on stage with them.
The
overall reaction was fantastic, everyone was just overjoyed by performance of
the cabinet.
Col. Bruce Hampton called it "The best bass cabinet he has ever heard". Here is
a nice blow
by blow of some of the testing the cabinet went thru in the last week.

Vaylor Trucks, (Butch Trucks son) of Bonobos Convergence played the cabinet
during a
band practice. For the most part Vaylor plays a midi guitar where the top two
strings are
"Bass Guitar" and the remaining 4 strings are your standard guitar. Vaylor used
a JG-1
cabinet as well as the new Bass Cabinet. Immediately he could see a huge
difference in his
sound. The entire band was diggin Vaylor's tone. The rehersal space was booming
so hard
it was knocking dust and debreis off the ceiling. Test 1 Results a huge hit.

Kris Dale of Col Bruce and the Quark Alliance got his hands on the cabinet next
and
demo'ed it in his studio. Kris really enjoyed the crystal clear tones the
cabinet gave off
even at lower volumes. Kris got to run some of his favorite toys thru the
cabinet and really
seemed to enjoy the incredible versitility and full spectrum of the 15"
speakers.

Ted Pecchio of the Code Talkers was up next. I met with Ted at his studio and
while not
really familar with the Hard Truckers products really dug the retro clean look
of the
cabinet upon initial inspection. Ted really put the cabinet thru its paces
better than we
could have ever expected. He played it for about an hour and a half and broke
out his
complete arsonel of guitars. A cool fender jazz bass, a fender baratone
telecaster, classic
upright bass and a hot little 5 string who's name escapes me. Ted pushed the
cabinet as
far as it would go and the cabinet won when a picture came crashing down off the
wall.
Ted dug the session so much he used the cabinet at his gig later that evening.
Ted called
the bass cabinet "a real rock-n-roll cabinet."

On stage the cabinet was great, nice tight projection while still respecting
great stage
volume levels. The cabinet seemed to really take all styles of music really well
and worked
particularly well with Ted's upright bass. Later in the evening one of Ted's
friends and an
incredible musician in his own right Charlie Wooten sat in on Ted's rig. Charlie
really dug
the cabinet and used it the following night as his own gig.

So we are getting close. We are wrapping things up and hope to go into
production really
soon. We have a few loose ends to tie up as well as some other "special friends"
that we
want to give the cabinet a look.

Please feel free to drop us a line or post any questions or comments you might
have...
peace
glenn

Not a bad idea, but "trivial" to add footswitches? I'm not so sure.

By the way, I'm already a very happy user of D-TAR's Mama Bear preamp
with my Renaissance RS-6. I'm a big Rick Turner user!

Not that I want to tout other people's products on this list, but I
think it's related enough due to the Alembic connection:

Try the D(Duncan)-T (Rick Turner)AR Solstice. It's got what you need
and more! It's not a foot switchable thing, but it would be pretty
trivial to add footswitches before it.

Ah, I see it now I was looking for it on the "products" link.

I just got a second (magnetic) pickup installed on my Renaissance
RS-6, so I can play "acoustic" and "electric" with the same axe.
They're separate outputs, but what I need is a buffered A/B box with
a "both" option, and trim pots.

It's on their main page about half way down.

Stereo Y Junction Box – Have an onboard effects loop on your guitar?
Have to use one of those flimsy stereo "Y" cables that always seem
to die or just don't sound good? Big Steve didn't want us to take
the half ass route and instead commissioned us to build the junction
box they used to make for the Dead. This MXR size box is comprised
of a Stereo Input Jack that splits off to a send Tip Jack and a
return Ring Jack. A hardwired connection will do wonders for your
tone and your reliability. Brian Brown has made TRS guitar cables to
use with the junction box and they are available as well. Call for
details 1(877)ROADGEAR.

Hey guys,
My stereo Y Box came in yesterday and it's great! I've been
struggling with Y cables for a couple of years and this box will end
my troubles. Plus, cool Hardtruckers graphics on it...nice touch. But
the cable I ordered really impressed me. How thick is this thing? If
my Bus ever breaks down, I'll hitch this cable to the tow!

Peace,

- Update

The bass cab finally made it out of the shop for some testing out on
the road and we are really pleased with the results. We have been
lending out the cabinet to some local bands to get some live takes.
The cabinet performed fantastically. An extremely full rich thick
overall sound with incredible stage volume for the musicians. The
individual musicians were able to easily hear themselves and feel the
music while not overwhelming the rest of the musicians on stage.

The cabinet delivered more low-end than the musicians expected yet
allowed the players to use the entire fretboard and the cabinet
reacted quite nicely when played in the upper frequency's.

Up next a few more local gigs followed by testing by some "special"
friends so stay tuned.

peace

We have been working hard on the Bass Cabinet and so far we have had fantastic
results.
We still have some levels of testing to go thru before we offer them up, but we
are
extremely happy with the way things are progressing, even if it is taking longer
than we
originally expected.

The unfinished cabinet has made it out of the shop and onto some small local
live stages
to be put thru some live applications.

Here are some particulars of the cabinet so far...(subject to change)

37"h x 19"w x 17"d

We havent actually weighed the cab yet but its probably around 100lbs or so. But
two of
our girls did move it this past weekend and loaded it into a car from the shop.

(2) 15" EV DMX Speakers - 500 watts each, metal cast frames, aprox 25lbs each.
and, yea
they hurt if you drop them on your knee, ive got the stitches to prove it.

(2) 4"diameter ports x 6" long with flaired inside. (we also have another back
with a single
4" diameter port that we are experimenting with)

Cabinet is tuned to aprox 35 hz

Inside of cabinet is lined with 1 1/4" of top of the line foam to prevent cavity
resonance.

Proto cab has only 1/4" jack, as of now the final product will have Neutrik
Speakon and
1/4" jack.

We are kicking around creating a cabinet fitting scooter to assist in moving the
cabinet
that would be included. A full blown road case will also be available.

The overall size of the cabinet is small compared to other 2x15 cabinets. It
looks exactly
like the the original JG1, just bigger. Like all our other cabinets all sides
are dado jointed
together then screwed, glued and plugged. This time, because of the closed back
of the
cabinet, we are siliconing all joints, handles, ports and jacks for an airtight
fit.

We can't give an onsale date just yet as we have a few more hoops to jump thru
as we
work up the chain before we put the cabinet infront of some "special" friends to
get their
take. More pictures will follow shortly.

Any questions? Suggestions or Comments? We would love to hear from you.
