Pat Missin tells more about tunings than most of us can absorb at
http://www.patmissin.com . You can fool around with tunings (on paper) at
http://trinity.psnw.com/~dlmurray/data/Tuning.xls The idea is to make the
chords sound good (small number for interval beats (cells: F14-L16)) without
making the note interval sound too strange for the listener's ear (big
numbers in deviation (cells: G6-L6)). The example when you start is 19 limit
just. Pat explains it, the SS lets you look at the results. You can change
the white cells; key, frequency of A, and intonation relative to the tonic
if the harp's first position note.
