aha great minds Do think alike
I spent some time trying to overblow,, its all the rage among the Delta
Frost players ( odd , as the one thing Delta Frosts were never intended to
do was overblow... so they buy Marine Bands and spend serious money getting
them custom set up to overblow. You could buy 1/2 dozen Delta Frosts for
what they spend getting those Marine bands adjusted.. (or you could just buy
a Golden Melody in the first place)
anyway, like Sky, i said this is ridiculous.. first off I can play
chromatic.. and 2ndly , if I did succeedat overblowing....... I would only
be succeeding at something someone else is noted for (Howard Levy and Jason
Ricci) so no one will take notice anyway. and 3rdly, in the amount of time
it will take me to succeed at the arcane skill.. I could learn 30 new
tunes.. which would make a much more positive impression on audiences,, and
I cannot recall ever having musicians pay my bills, but audiences have.. and
they do not care how you get the right note,, as long as it is the right
note.. ..to which I either cheat with a retuned harp,, or a chromatic, or by
using 2 or even 3 diatonics in a song.
