I've been lurking on this egroup for a while, but
haven't had any interesting comments to make thus far.
I'm a relatively new listener of Harry's music and I
enjoy reading everyone's comments on his music, even
though I have yet to hear all of his songs. (I
stopped myself from greedily consuming his music when
it dawned on me that one day there would be no more of
Harry's songs for me to enjoy- now I'm taking Harry in
very slowly.)
I have listened to the song Dogtown and wasn't quite
sure what was meant by the trivia question posted
earlier. Was the question, what is Dogtown of? I am
interested in hearing people's comments if that was
the question. My perception of the song is that the
dog ends up being her husband, because all the men die
at sea. But what kind of husband can the dog be? And
is this based on a real town? And why does this song
make my stomach hurt everytime I listen to it???
Could someone please explain?
thanks,
jb
