Hey everybody!
Been a while since we used the Yahoo Group for anything but after
they revamped the setup and got the spam nonsense under control we
decided it was high time to use it again to stay in touch with you.
This summer has been awesome so far and thanks to all of you
watching our back and helping out things it looks like we'll be seeing
more of you up close and personal soon! We've got some new booking and
promotions people working with us, the live show has continuously
gotten even better and it's looking like we'll soon be making our
historic voyage out of New York City to rock a Denny's near YOU! :-P
You guys have been doing a great job getting Hate In The Box on
netradio stations you listen to, reviews of the latest album in zines
you read, getting DJs at your favorite clubs to spin our songs and
it's all helping us bring the live show closer to you, faster :-D
The most recent station to add songs of ours to their playlist I've
been told about is radio.hotgoth.net, based out of Salt Lake City,
Utah. I've actually found lots of cool new songs I hadn't heard of
lsitening to them these past few days. My new goofing off activity is
playing along with whatever's on to make songs more the way I like
them ;) Come to think of it, this one song I made up guitar parts for
for Kemical Dreams, is still up at
http://www.hateinthebox.com/audio/heretic-optimus.mp3 Maybe I'll
upload a few more of those for you guys. As long as no one complains
I'm not spending enough time on the new HITB album :-P
Ok, this is pretty long so I'm going to get back to the instruments.
Below is the last email list thing we sent out about the NYC show this
Saturday. If you're on the east coast in Boston, Philadelphia, DC,
Baltimore etc, here's a link to the inexpensive buslines that run
between all them: http://www.staticleap.com/chinatownbus/
Weekends in NYC are never boring, and if you email us or post here
ahead of time we can almost certainly find you some cool people from
your city to travel with. For this next one I know a bunch of people
from Philly are coming with Carfax Abbey and another group from Boston
is already formed and travelling together.
Ok, now I'm really stopping :-P ROCK! \oo/

DOWNLOADABLE CDs ARE HERE!
Only took me like a year :-P Because a lot of you live far, far
away from Hate In The Box Manor we've always given free shipping to
you guys, even on international orders. But some of you have been
emailing us saying you are so futuristic you don't even need CDs, just
the music and lyrics. So now at the Hate In The Box online store you
can buy exactly that, a big old zipped file with mp3s of every song
and a lyric sheet done all pretty for you in html! Thanks to all of
you who bought the CD so far! Each dollar puts another plank on ye
olde pirate airship o doom so we can play a show closer to you!

NYC SHOW AT DOMINION
On Saturday, July 16th come to Dominion at Club Rare and witness
Rainbow Blight in all her cyborg glory, dominating the stage with a
post-apocalyptic, four armed cyber Kali costume! These are the same
robotic arms you've all asked about after seeing them on our myspace
profile pictures.
This show will be the first time these dangerous appendages have
seen the stage in more than a year! We'll also be performing a bunch
of new songs not available on any CD yet, so come out and hear your
favorites from Razorblade Fairytales and the anthems of the future :D
Besides magical robot arms and new songs, this show has a KILLER
lineup performing with us!

Revue Noir's unique brand of dark cabaret starts the evening at 9,
before our good friends from Philadelphia, Carfax Abbey, bring the
rock(!) at 10. The industrial electronic rock of Anathema Device takes
the stage at 11, before Hate in the Box (woot! that's us!) bring the
colorful bouncy mechanized distortion to you LIVE!
Then industrial-metal Brooklynites Still Life Decay start the riot at
1, before the lunatic electro mayhem of Things Outside the Skin! at 2.

So strap on your stompiest boots, because with bands like these
performing all night long, you will NOT have a chance to rest!!! This
party will be 18+ and only $8 with a flier!

Dominion takes place at Club Rare, which is located at 416 West 14
Street (between 9th Ave & Washington Street)in Manhattan
Doors open at 8pm, and you'll want to get there early so you don't
miss anything!

Noise and Beauty,
Optimus Crime and Rainbow Blight
