There is a nice variety of concerts coming up in Monteabaro. See
below for more information.

Baroque Music & Art Songs
Saturday, Oct. 18 at 7:30pm
Peter Lee, guest tenor/counter tenor
Wei-Der Huang, piano & harpsichord
Cindy Yi-Hsin Lin, violin
Sheng-Tsung Wang, violin
Joan Bob, viola
Benjamin Myers, cello
Music by Purcell, Handel, Vivaldi, Faure, Brahms, Donaudy and
Schubert will be heard.
Admissions $5, $10, $15


Alan Blackman & Vardan Ovsepian
Sunday, Oct. 19 at 4:00pm
Recognized for his fondness for bringing European classical and other
outside influences to jazz improvisation to create music both elegant
and uniquely his own, Armenia-born pianists Vardan Ovsepian
collaborates with HCC's very own jazz faculty, Alan
Blackman in this concert of jazz piano duo.
Admissions $5, $10, $15


Sangmi Yoon Piano Recital
Saturday, Oct. 25 at 7:30pm
Pianist and HCC music student scholarship recipient Sangmi Yoon will
be giving a solo piano recital performing Bach E flat major Prelude and
Fugue from the Well-Tempered Clavier Book II; Beethoven's "Les
adieux" Piano Sonata, Op. 81a; Chopin Fantasy in F minor,
Op.49; and Barber Piano Sonata, Op. 26.
Admission is free.


Tom Benjamin & Friends
Sunday, Oct. 26 at 3:00pm
Tom Benjamin and Friends: The HCC/UUCC/Peabody Connection.
The concert features Tom Benjamin, a student of Kyle Coughlin, and
the Jazz Program of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of
Columbia's Music Ministry. Performing will be the Chalice Messengers
quintet, the Chalice Chanteusies, and HCC faculty Kyle Coughlin.
Music includes jazz classics, originals and show tune standards from
the 1920's to the present.
Admission is free.
