Greetings List Members:

This eGroups mailing list currently makes available 2 reminders for
each calendar event. Previously I configured each event for a
reminder at 1 week and another at 3 days before the event. The
rationale is that a week is an adequate trigger for attendance
planning, and 3days is a good impending event reminder, especially
for those who have email access only on weekdays.

In hope that events coordinators for local publications will begin
to use this list for their own work, I have increased the 1 week
reminder to 2 weeks. If the eGroups mailings are prompt, this should
satisfy the 14 day advance notification required by most publications.

I will continue to look for an automatic way to get a 1 week reminder
to list members. If any of you have strong preferences about the
timing of reminders, please email me.
