Guitar terrorist Buckethead, Avant-rock ensemble Meridiem w/ special
guest John Goodsall of Brand X and Japanese world / trance vocalist Sami
Kaneda and Cellophane Masses head action packed line up.

Pangea Music International is pleased to announce a showcase of amazing
musical talent at the Great American Music Hall, Saturday May 27th. The
evening will feature a program of diverse musical talents from a variety
of genres all with strong Bay area ties. Topping the bill is Buckethead,
recognized as one of the world's premier guitarist, equally renowned for
his amazing stage performance. Buckethead has performed and recorded
with such illustrious musicians as Bill Laswell, Bootsy Collins, John
Zorn and has been a featured artist with Primus. As reported on MTV,
Buckethead is also slated to be the new guitarist of the reformed Guns
and Roses.
Meridiem is a rock ensemble lead by Bay Area vocalist Percy
Howard. The group's music features a volcanic mix of jazz-rock and
trance grooves supported by Howard's passionate and poetic vocals. The
group's members have included Bill Laswell, Vernon Reid (Living Colour),
Trey Gunn (King Crimson), and drummer Charles Hayward. The current
expanded incarnation of the group will feature special guest John
Goodsall, guitarist of the legendary jazz-rock group Brand X.
Recognized as one of Asia's top jazz singers Japanese Jazz /
World-beat vocalist Sami Kaneda will be performing with her San
Francisco based world -beat ensemble. She will be Performing music from
both last year's jazz / folk album "Songs Of Seven Seas" (Pangea/Outer
Music) and her recent world-trance album entitled "Heartbeat". A
versatile vocalist Sami will be performing her unique blend of
"World-Beat / Trance" which incorporates a mixed modern trance and
electronic with elements of jazz, blues and Asian folk.
Also on the bill is Cellophane Masses, a melodic electronic-Glam rock
trio based in the Bay area. Lead by singer / songwriter David Wayne and
with drummer Liam Heart (formerly with American Music Club, Wire Train)
will certainly please the audience with their innovative modern sound.
Opening the show will be ambient / electronic pioneer Robert Rich making
a rare Bay area live performance.
