Peoples,
recently I've been getting persistent spam that promotes the
Alchemist's next album called "1st Infrantry" . Today I read on J
Smooth's hiphopmusic.com that The Alchemist is banned from the site
for the same type of spam.
See that post here: http://www.hiphopmusic.com/archives/000597.html
And an example of the comment spam here:
http://hiphop.blogs.com/hiphop/2004/07/rocafellas_late.html#0001778408
The spam comments link to Alchemist's page on the site "Beverly Hills
Pimps and Ho's", which, according to J Smooth, is the site run by the
guy in the Paris Hilton tape.
I know it's probably not the Alchemist himself who's spreading the
spam. However, since he's alligning himself to shady PR people who
use trickery and spam to promote his album I have no love for the guy.
I hate spam. It has sunk email and threatens to do the same with
blogs. So let's turn the tables on this guy and beat him at his own
spammy game!
I suggest a "Smart Mob". Let's all make posts with the title "The
Alchemist Presents 1st Infrantry" or something like that. Instead of
reviewing or profiling the album in the post, put Alchemist on blast
for spamming our community. Use trackback to ping J Smooth's original
post (his trackback url: http://www.hiphopmusic.com/cgi-bin/mt-
tb.cgi/597)
What will this do? If ten of us get we'll take over Google's listings
of Alchemist's album. This is the exact opposite of what this spammer
wants. Make sure to not link to the page that he links to in the spam
comments. That will only mae things worse.
I'm about to do this soon on my own site as an example. Holla if
you're down.
