At the roundtable discussion some of us went to one of the panelists
lamented about how there are no more free meals in hip-hip. Back in
the day you could go to a promotional event for an album and load up
on a good lunch without paying. That's not the case anymore.

No promoters spam you with press releases and cram your mailbox with
junk to listen to.

Well, my friends I know of one last free meal. It's in reviewing
hip-hop shows. Promoters have happily given me two passes plus drink
tickets when I go to their event. I list the other person as my
photographer, but it's always some girl I'm trying to impress.

Once I put up their review I find that I'm usually the only person who
wroe anything about it. So the field is wide open. Eat up.
