Peep the new: mp3.com
Now with videos, social networking, and more space to house your audio.
I'm still feeling burned from the original site deleting all of my audio, as
well as the songs from thousands of other people. I bet they still have it,
sitting in a basement somewhere.

Peep: http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com
The Lede is the latest blog to launch on NYTimes.com and it embraces the
style and voice of blogging even more their previous attempts. The writer's
style is conversational, with lines like this: "Can you peg 'em without
looking at the links? (Yeah, yeah, we know these are easy."
It's kind of jarring to see that kind of style in the NYTimes

Yahoo just bought Bix, which allows people to run video contests online.
Yahoo also owns Jumpcut, a site that allows people to edit short video
online.
All of this is chump change compared to Google and YouTube.

I noticed some of have links on our blog post promting users to add our blog
to del.icio.us Digg, and other social sites. AddThis takes out the clutter,
and gives users one link that leads to a dozen different services.

You can use their service to create an email at any available domain, and it
then be able to assign up to 100 addresses to friends. I created a new one
for gripgang.com

Yup, it they buy it on your behalf. it's not clear how much they allow
you to do with the domain after that.

i need some help with two issues for my new last nerve template, but i
don't know enough html to fix it so...anybody on here who has five
minutes to spare i'll paypal $5 to fix it cuz for someone who knows
html it shouldn't take long.
the issues are:
1. added another navbar on the right side and it looks fine in firefox
but looks like it's stuck in the middle of the page in ie. i know they
handle tables differently. i just don't know how to fix it so...
2. the navbar goes to extreme right when the window is made smaller,
but looks fine when maximized - in firefox. in ie it just looks crazy.
if anybody thinks they can fix these things please get at me off list.
i'd like to put my new template up tomorrow. i have the code up on my
test blog so you can see it.
peace

They seem to be having some problems, because all it says under your "Quick
News" header is "Loading..."
Slow servers and service outagges seem to be the main problem with any service
where the content originates from outside your own domain.

Google release a new toy that allows you to add the latest news
headlines to your blog page.
Peep the second item on the right column of Hip Hop Blogs
(http://www.hiphop-blogs.com) to see it in action.

I want to find a good site or directory of net radio that plays hip-hop. Any
suggestions?

According to the site traffic trends I've seen on my site and the ones I've
worked for, getting your blog story mentioned on a message board is a huge
traffic booster. In the same way that geeky sites encourage users to post
their link on Digg, Reddit, Del.icio.us, etc I think it's smart to ask your
readers to do the same for your blog.
From what I've seen traffic wise, their are only 3 forums that matter -
SOHH, Allhiphop, and Okayplayer.
Anyone have any good ideas on how to automate this kind of thing? Is there a
way to place a special link on your blog that will open a page directly on
one of those message boards?
