News just in from Geoff Davies:
Due to Ken's fairly serious illness the Nottingham gig (14th Oct) has had to
be postponed. Tickets are still valid (or can be returned if punters wish
to) for the next date which will be announced soon.
Geoff now has an email address geoff@... and a website
www.probeplus.co.uk - but don't expect any quick replies as the mogul has
yet to learn how to switch a computer on :-)
There is a Probe Plus compilation on its way to the CD-buying public
(released 31st Oct) containing "rare & deleted treasures including an 8 1/2
mins live verson of `A Country Practice` from the band".
Probe 55 "Wake Up With Probe Plus" will be a mid-priced cd £9.75 from Geoff
inc. p&p
All this info will appear on the website...www.hmhb.co.uk
Gez.
It has just been brought to the attention of Probe Plus that the latest batch of
the "Back In The DHSS" video has two tracks missing, the "Dickie Davies Eyes"
and "No Regrets" promos.
If anyone has recently bought a copy of these, you can send it back to Geoff at
Probe Plus and he will replace it.
Cheers,
Gez.

The Peel Session broadcast last September is now not being aired on Peel's
show on Thu 13th February - due to a cock-up or something on Tuesday, when
the Mountain Goats session didn't appear, HMHB have now made way for the
Goats on the aforementioned date. Oh well...
Gez.
At last, I can announce the first gig of the year:
The Boardwalk, Sheffield, 20th November
HMHB will be back at the Boardwalk on Wednesday 20th November for their
first gig of the year. Tickets are £10 adv by post from venue : The
Boardwalk, Snig Hill, Sheffield S3 8NA (no booking fee, cheques payable to
C.Wilson) or in person from Jacks Records, Devonshire Street, Sheffield
(opposite The Forum) or Forever Changes, Ecclesall Rd. Sheffield. Further
info can be obtained from venue on 0114 279 9090 or the promoter Chris on
0771 007 6640 or email chriswilson@....
The venue has a capacity of 450, so it's advisable to book early. Getting
there: it used to be The Old Black Swan, and is on Snig Hill, which pretty
much in the centre of town. Get a tram or bus to Castle Square, go down
Market Place - which becomes Angel Street - which becomes Snig Hill. The
Boardwalk is on the left.

The new LP, "Cammell Laird Social Club", will now be out on 16 September,
after a slight delay. I've put the tracklisting and a shot of the cover on
the website: www.hmhb.co.uk of course.
Peel Session is next Tuesday, 3 September at 10pm.
No gigs!
Gez.
A reminder that HMHB are live in session on Andy Kershaw's Radio 3 programme
tomorrow night at 10pm, previewing tracks from the upcoming LP, "Cammell
Laird Social Club", released on 2nd September. Tracklisting still to be
finalised.
The Peel session tentatively mentioned in the last mail-out has already been
recorded (live, in one take!) - no broadcast date as yet.
Still no gigs!
Gez.
I think the subject says it all; HMHB will be recording a live session in
Manchester for Andy Kershaw's Radio 3 programme at 10pm on August 2nd, which
(probably) has some tie-in with the Commonwealth Games.
Peel session was still in the offing last I heard, no confirmation. LP out
later in the year. No gigs planned as yet.
Any further news will appear on the website as usual: www.hmhb.co.uk
