VENETIAN SNARES [PLANET MU / HYMEN] LIVE!

[WINNIPEG] La légende veut qu’Aaron Funk ait refusé un contrat auprès du label
légendaire WARP (UK) afin de garder plus de liberté. Cet artiste influent,
découvert
par Mike Paradinas (Mu-ziq), développe une musique complexe et dense alliant
breakbeats et drum and bass. Funk utilise de nombreux échantillons qu’il
rassemble
en séquences qu’il fait alors osciller sans cesse. L’on se rappellera qu’il
avait bouté
le feu à la SAT lors de sa performance dans le cadre du FCMM 2001.

[WINNIPEG] According to the legend, Aaron Funk refused a contract with the
legendary Warp label (UK) in order to keep his artistic freedom. This
influential
artist, discovered by Mike Paradinas (Mu-ziq), has developed a complex music
constantly oscillation in between breakbeats and drum ‘n’ bass. Funk uses many
samples that he rearranges in ever changing sequences. Montrealers will remember
he smashed the SAT for his FCMM 2001 performance.

techniques de compositions électroniques. Son expertise fait de Black Market un
projet de drum and bass expérimental très demandé à Montréal.

BARACUDA [HYBRID STRUCTURE / HYMEN] LIVE!

[MONTRÉAL] Steven fait de la musique depuis approximativement dix ans. Il
utilise
échantillonneurs, synthétiseurs et ordinateurs pour produire de l’électronica
sombre
et touffue. Son influence principale? Les jeux vidéos classiques tels qu’Atari,
C64,
Nintendo et autres Amiga. Il a à son actif deux disques sur Hybrid Structure et
un
disque en préparation pour Hymen (Allemagne – Le label de Lusine, Scorn,
Starfish
Pool, Venetian Snares, Vromb etc)

[MONTRÉAL] Steven started playing around with music about ten years ago. He
uses samplers, synthesizers and computers to produce sombre and dense
electronica. His main influences? Old school video games such as the Atari, C64,
Nintendo and other Amigas. He has already released two long playing CD’s Hybrid
Structure and is preparing a disc for Hymen (Germany – Home to Lusine, Scorn,
Starfish Pool, Venetian Snares, Vromb etc)

[WINNIPEG] Fishead est l’un des DJ gabber hardcore les plus réputés en Amérique
du Nord. Si il est habituel que Fishead incorpore du noise japonais dans ses
sets, il
est peu probable qu’il fasse descendre le tempo plus bas que 200 BPM!

[WINNIPEG] Fishead is one of the most respected gabber hardcore DJ in North-
America. It’s usual for Fiseahd to incorporate japanoise in his sets, and very
unlikely
that he will make the tempo go lower than 200 BPM!
