VENETIAN SNARES [PLANET MU / HYMEN] LIVE!

[WINNIPEG] La légende veut qu’Aaron Funk ait refusé un contrat auprès du label
légendaire WARP (UK) afin de garder plus de liberté. Cet artiste influent,
découvert
par Mike Paradinas (Mu-ziq), développe une musique complexe et dense alliant
breakbeats et drum and bass. Funk utilise de nombreux échantillons qu’il
rassemble
en séquences qu’il fait alors osciller sans cesse. L’on se rappellera qu’il
avait bouté
le feu à la SAT lors de sa performance dans le cadre du FCMM 2001.

[WINNIPEG] According to the legend, Aaron Funk refused a contract with the
legendary Warp label (UK) in order to keep his artistic freedom. This
influential
artist, discovered by Mike Paradinas (Mu-ziq), has developed a complex music
constantly oscillation in between breakbeats and drum ‘n’ bass. Funk uses many
samples that he rearranges in ever changing sequences. Montrealers will remember
he smashed the SAT for his FCMM 2001 performance.

BARACUDA [HYBRID STRUCTURE / HYMEN] LIVE!

[MONTRÉAL] Steven fait de la musique depuis approximativement dix ans. Il
utilise
échantillonneurs, synthétiseurs et ordinateurs pour produire de l’électronica
sombre
et touffue. Son influence principale? Les jeux vidéos classiques tels qu’Atari,
C64,
Nintendo et autres Amiga. Il a à son actif deux disques sur Hybrid Structure et
un
disque en préparation pour Hymen (Allemagne – Le label de Lusine, Scorn,
Starfish
Pool, Venetian Snares, Vromb etc)

[MONTRÉAL] Steven started playing around with music about ten years ago. He
uses samplers, synthesizers and computers to produce sombre and dense
electronica. His main influences? Old school video games such as the Atari, C64,
Nintendo and other Amigas. He has already released two long playing CD’s Hybrid
Structure and is preparing a disc for Hymen (Germany –  Home to Lusine, Scorn,
Starfish Pool, Venetian Snares, Vromb etc)

collective from Switzerland and Germany. They are organizing a festival (On_Lap)

friends we have a real dedication to. Together, they have over 35 years of
experience in the making of music. Both of these releases comfort us that our
artistical direction is a credo we can strongly continue to work with. Music

ARTIST: LILITH
TITLE: IMAGINED COMPOSITIONS FOR WATER

Imagined Compositions for Water uses a single theme to produce its effects
without
synthesizers or traditional instruments. Just as Stone (Sub Rosa, 1992) used
stones, rocks, etc; and Redwing (Sub Rosa, 1995) used air; "ICFW" uses source
audio and video recordings made exclusively from oceans-rivers-lakes-waterfalls-
etc, modified using analog & digital filters and effects, and only minimal
computer
processing. Homemade electronic controllers are used to direct many of the
effects.

This album contains recordings of two live performances, at the ARS Electronica
Festival (Austria - 1997) and at the Comandini Theatre in Cesena (Italy - 1998).
The
recordings from these performances were combined to create the final album-
document. A video footage of the performance is available on this CD as a
quicktime movie clip. The CD comes in a limited edition light blue tinted jewel
case.

LILITH With almost twenty years of electronic music composing, Scott Gibbons
isn't
exactly a newcomer. Indeed he has had an important influence on some other
Hushush recording artists such as Mick Harris' Lull and Akifumi Nakajima's Aube.
His mind challenging compositions led him to release three CD's under the famous
Belgian label Sub Rosa. Cited by many as seminal compositions, his early
nineties
releases based only on the sound of stones and wind got praises from all over
the
world. Scott and his project Lilith were invited in many occasions at several
renowned festival (ARS Electronica and the Holland Festival to name a few). The
Wire UK magazine coined him "master of the sub-bass". His list of collaborations
includes much respected artists such as Brian Ladd (Blackhouse), Mark Spybey
(DVOA), GVOON, David Wright (Not Breathing). Scott is now a regular collaborator
of the avant garde Italian theatre company, Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio and Golan
Levin's Telesymphony.

Mémoires paramoléculaires is Vromb's first release on a Canadian label since his
debut album Jeux de terre (1993). We at Hushush are very pleased to present you
this fine piece of electroacoustic music composed especially for us by Hugo
Girard.
Inspired by the emerging Hushush sound, Mémoires paramoléculaires is a digital
sequencing of analog sources. This is the result of a process of understanding
Heurel Gaudot's participation to Vromb's musical output. It is constructed as
the first
chapter in an electronic opera for ultratonical machines. Questioning our link
to
reality, this sci-fi musical project is a reflection on our condition as organic
machines.

As always with Hushush, much attention has been put in the making of this
release.
Vromb's Mémoires paramoléculaires is available as a limited item of 700 copies
only. The CD comes in a hand made and stamped CD sleeve as well as a luxury
colour cardboard packaging accompanied by several inserts showing drawings of
prof. H.Gaudot by Steve Deschênes.

VROMB's solid reputation as a unique artist is legendary amongst fans of minimal
electro rhythms. Based in Montréal (Québec) Vromb's Hugo Girard is nonetheless
mostly known in Europe and in the United States. Having released only but a few
discs in his whole ten years and over career's span, his many followers eagerly
await each release. With a style on his own, Girard's project may be one of the
most
original act in the North American electronic music scene.

Canadian cult dark electronica act is to play at this year's MUTEK festival in
Montréal, Québec. His Friday 31st of May performance will be free! Vromb plays
very seldom live and this is a unique chance to attend on of his concerts in a

environment. This gig will celebrate the release of "Mémoires paramoléculaires".
Indeed, in June 2002, Hushush will release a long playing CD by Vromb. Mémoires
paramoléculaires will set a new light on Professeur H.Gaudot's past adventures.

2. LILITH

Long time collaborator and friend Scott Gibbons gave us the honour of chosing
Hushush to release the follow up to his three first Sub Rosa (Belgium) albums.
"Imagined Compositions for Water" will be available on Hushush in June 2002. In
the meantime, you can visit Scott's website and look for live action. I myself
had the
chance to attend a performance (Genesi) by the Societas Raffaello Sanzio this
week-end and I can testify Scott's music is in good company and the whole play
is
really worth your attention. Genesi is playing next in Australia and California.
Scott
is also collaborating with Golan Levi for the worly acclaimed "Dialtones. A
telepsymphony" for which they are currently plerforming in Swizterland
(Arteplage
Jura).

French magazine COD@ (Coda) featured in its March edition an article on

2. TV: ARTE + RTBF

The German/French TV channel Arte and its magazine Tracks recently covered a
feature on electronic music in Belgium. One of the interviewees was Gabriel, a
Hushush recording artist. You may download the 7,5 minutes video (in the AVI

Belgian French National TV (RTBF) recently featured two Hushush recording
artists, Gabriel of Moonsanto and Martiens Go Home! The program, Intérieur Nuit,
interviewed and filmed them playing live for a special night on OSNI (Objets
Sonores Non Identifiés - Unidentified Sound Objects).

One of Europe foremost contemporary choregrapher, Frédéric Flamand has just
ben authorized by us to use Ambre and Mark Spybey musical material for his
forthcoming production Body / Work / Leisure to premiere in Belgium and tour
Europe afterwards. Frédéric Flamand is Charleroi Danses artistical director.

Hushush recording artist Lilith has produced the music for Raffaello Sanzio's
Genesi, museum of Sleep that has since then toured extensively in Europe. The
famous inovative Italian contemporary theater troupe will stop in the US for

Improvisation was once the privilege of multiple decades of classic
instrumentalists.
With the introduction of a wider range of electronic devices such as
synthesizers,
samplers and mini disks a new generation of artists has taken over the
improvisation scene. Offering more diversity and sometimes depth than classic
improvisation could provide, this new generation of electronic improvisers
changed
forever the face of non-written, non-composed music. Named after Fredric Brown’s
seminal sci-fi novel, Martiens Go Home! (MGH!) has nothing to envy classic
improvisation. Not missing a single week since they started their radio show
many
years ago on Radio Campus (Brussels, Belgium) the trio has always played with
the
contingency of live experience. With the live sequencing of found sounds and
various samples they developed their own approach to electronic music. Far from
any rigid and binary compositions, their sound is organic and complex.

On ”Une occasion de chute” MGH! collected many improvisations they did with
numerous like-minded artists from Brussels such as Frank Pay, Szkieve,
Moonsanto, Ultraphonist and TMRX. MGH! and their side-projects have already
pleased listeners from respected labels such as Staalplaat and Sub Rosa. This CD
is a collaboration release between Hushush and MGH’s own imprint, Kalinka Vichy.

Multifaceted artist, academically trained musician and drummer, C-drík Fermont
is
electroacoustic composer Annette Vande Gorne former student. He takes his
influences from varied sources such as child tales, dark humour and inu
chanting.
Dissolution, his first solo album, consists of pieces composed in between 1997
and
2001. This is more than just a collection of carefully chosen tracks. With
simple
melodies, minimal drones and a lot of nostalgic harmonies, Dissolution, has a
strong feeling of unity. Through a personal approach of sound he developed in
the
past years, C-drík’s Dissolution is always precise and clear. It would suit fans
of
Rapoon and Thomas Köner.

Of Greek descent, born in Congo, living in Belgium, C-drík is an eternal
voyager. He
juggles in between many projects and genres. His various other incarnations
include Moonsanto, Ambre, Ammo, Axiome, Crno Klank.

Bastard child of incestuous relations, the Belgian Quartet Moonsanto
is proud to present itself to the world in the form of its first long-
playing compact disc. Active performers from the Brussels' scene,
members of Silk Saw and Xingu Hill teamed up in 1999 for a very
exclusive limited CD EP entitled "Dogme" (HSH06). This long time sold
out item was presenting Moonsanto's interpretation of the current
uses of biotechnologies by global companies. "Fraud - Hell - Dope"
being the follow up to this first opus, you can expect similar
viewpoints on biotechnologies. But what "Dogme" wasn't able to
achieve because of its length restrictions, "Fraud - Hell - Dope"
takes to another stage. Beyond the first experimentations of "Dogme",
this debut long-playing CD gives us a full spectre of what very
talented people can do when they are given full artistic freedom.
Inspired by surrealist poets and painters as well as early
experimental noisemakers, Moonsanto is actually a very solid yet
diverse project. Deconstructed rhythms and guitars are on "Fraud -
Hell - Dope" the neighbours to tape loops and voice treatments.
Ranging from very melodic moments to more experimental cut-ups, this
disc has everything to please to the most difficult ear as well as
the most adventurous listeners in search for a strange discourse on
contemporary society.

  The quartet is active from the Moonsantist Ranch Company, of which
very little is known. Only few materials are making it through the
outside world. Most of it has been released in the form of "Fraud -
Hell - Dope", but some unreleased pieces are made available as an
augmented version of this compact disc "the Pesticides Forever Kit".
Along with an exclusive t-shirt, a tape and a genetically modified
furry wrapping, this kit is available for a limited time only from
Hushush.

SILK SAW is a Brussels' duo; they have been active for many years
under different forms and different labels (Sub Rosa, Ant-Zen). Silk
Saw created a very specific and original sound an electronic
krautrock hybrid. Jardin d'Usure (a dada inspired sound experiment)
and Ultraphonist (Foton Records - an ambient isolationist project)
are two of the other names the duo is known for.

XINGU HILL initially is the solo project of John N Sellekaers (Ambre,
Urawa, Snog, Internal etc) who was recently joined by C-drik Fermont
(Crno Klank, Axiome, Ambre etc). They both also work under the
moniker of Ambre (along with Olivier Moreau of Imminent) and Ammo.
Combining releases on many well-respected electronic labels such as
Reload Ambient, Nova Zembla, Ant-Zen, Hymen, Mad Monkey, Gun Music to
name a few the members of this duo are very influential musicians on
nowadays underground electronic music.

Iszoloscope - Coagulating Wreckage + Solstice
  First disc for this Canadien project on the mythical own Belgian
Spectre record label. Iszoloscope does loads of noise! Ranging from
very dance floor oriented material to more ambient and abstract
moments, this is certaintly what you can call a "kick ass debut
album". Iszoloscope opened the Aachen, Germany Maschinenfest in 2001.
A CD and an extra thick and heavy vinyl with exclusive tracks. The
whole kit is furnished in a thick cardboard packaging with embossing.
This boxset is limited to 300 copies. We only have a very few of
them. Be careful, due to its weight, this article ships as two items!

  First vinyl release for De Los Siete Label (Mad Monkey Records). Two

Xingu Hill + Squaremeter - This Anxious Space
  Xingu Hill and Squaremeter (Panacea experimental side project)
associated in a "I deconstruct you deconstruct me" project. This
Anxious Space also known as XHM2 differs from the other Squaremeter
projects this one has a more conventional song structure. I would say
this one gains a lot from the other releases. The influence of both
projects is very present. Ringing and dry sounds as well as
scratching and fat tones, everything is there. Some beautiful moments
as well. (Digipak).

Mlada Fronta - FE2 O3
  The brand new output by the French Mlada Fronta on a new French
label is a total success. A double CD filled with new material. The
tracks here are changing from more industrial to more technoid
moments. We still have troubles to understand why other critics
mention this release as being power noise. Mlada Fronta's music is
closer to rich IDM or complex electronic ambient than to distorted 1-
bit rhythms. This is probably the most wonderful boxset we ever had
the chance to sell. A rich Digipak with a 20 pages full colour
booklet. The digipak itself is coming in a cardboard box. This disc
containt 29 tracks in total including remixes by Orphx, Dither, Savak
etc. This boxset's design remind me of what the Designer's Republic
did for the British label Warp.

Aube - Set On
  A new project by the japanese experimental artist Aube, this time
based on the sound of stone. This 60 more minutes CD is very dry and
has lots of explosives moments. Fast changes from slow to faster
moments. The CD ends up with a very long hypnotic track. It could be
very well danced on. I wouldn't be suprised to hear it on some dance
floor sometimes. This CD comes in a very thick and heavy stone
packaging. Two white beige stones serve as a case for this CD. Note
that because of this packaging most mail orders had a very large
number of scratched CD's. We guarantee our CD's scratch free (more
than half of our stock in scratched and will not be sold before we
get them resurfaced). We are the only one to give you this warrant!

Maeror - Tri Meditamentum
  A collection of hard if not impossible to find tracks by the cult
German band, Maeror Tri. This compilation gathered several tracks
from deleted tapes from important labels such as Old Europa Cafe,
GROSS, Audio Drudge (Malignant) etc. This is a very beautiful
compilation from this artist we love so much. I'm very glad to have
these tape tracks recorded in between 1993 and 1996 compiled on a CD.

  Horchata new collaboration this time with the OCOSI fame. This CD
propose dark hop beats in the vein of OCOSI and Horchata pervious

dark hop beats. If you like Techno Animal this one is for you!

  A split CD by japanese noise godfather KK Null and the noise

here have a more "live" feeling. MOZ pieces are suprising noisy

hard-edged rhythms are a remedy against weak and made-to-please dark
rhythmic music. In the spirit of the Zen doctrine, the Hed Nod
Sessions remain a hidden complexity in a world of visible

Mick Harris was provided all musical freedom that he used to
experiment. Unlike most experimental music, Session 04 is not only
unconventional music; it is also a real journey into its creator's
mind. The integrity of his music gave the Birmingham Mongoose the
reputation he's known for. Session 04 is as hard as you can get
if you think superfluous is useless. It is in the light of the
previous releases in the series probably the most achieved Hed Nod
output.

MICK HARRIS is a very influential and seminal figure in the
contemporary underground music scene. Many of his projects changed the
complexion of what electronic music has become today. Scorn one of the
most sensational act from the nineties, Quoit his drum'n'bass project
and Lull, a death calm ambient incarnation, to name a few. He is also
known through many collaborative discs and projects he has had with
artists such as James Plotkin, Eraldo Bernocchi, Martyn Bates, John
Everall, Surgeon, Nigel Ayers, Neil Harvey, John Zorn and Bill
Laswell. Mick is well known to the Hushush's aficionados for his work
on the Threesome Series on which he collaborated with Ambre (Belgium)
and Mark Spybey (Canada / United Kingdom).

HED NOD was founded in Montreal in 1999 by Dimitri della Faille as a
companion to his main label, Hushush (founded 1998). Hed Nod was
initially started for the sole purpose of Mick Harris. But since then,
Hed Nod released a compilation of various artists "Low End
Recon". It is in our plans now to open our structure to numerous
other talented new artists. Throughout the years, Hushush proved to
the world, music was not fashion and temporary trends. Dimitri's
credo with Hushush is to give the listener music with an added value,
music made to last for very a difficult and distinguished ear.

we are very glad to announce that after numerous delays for many
reasons beyond our will, Mick Harris' "Hed Nod Session 04" 12" LP is
ready. It took us about a year to organise this release. We ran into
problems we could never foresee. At one point the set up for this
disc was so complicated it was suggested to be cursed. However,
everything is now ready. This session will be the last session in the
Hed Nod series to be released on vinyl. Instead of being an edition
of 500 copies, this one is limited to 300 (and are hand numbered).
The color is really interesting, a solid transparent red. Since the
making of this session was more expensive than the previous ones, we
will sell it for eleven us dollars.

This week we already sent most subscribers of this series their copy
of the vinyl. All but fifteen are already in the mail and should
arrive soon. The rest will most likely be sent out this forthcoming
monday.

Hed Nod's website will be updated very soon with more information on
this new release and will have sound samples as well.

Vromb "Interlüder" (CD EP - 10$)
Interlüder is the name of this machine used by Pr. Gaudot. This time
the famous Professor is not taking part in any vocal part. This is a
totally instrumental Vromb extended playing CD. Over fourty minutes
of strong throbbing techno. A step beyond any industrial techno
outfit.

Somatic Responses "Accidental Happiness" (CD EP - 10$)
Six new tracks by Somatic Responses (Ant-Zen, C8 etc) as well as two
remixes by Dryft and Codec. The Welsh band experiment here the
complex drum and bass techno they are famous for. An extended playing
CD on the new rising US techno label, Component.

Kate Mosh (Panacea) "Dynamo" (CD - 13$)
Side project by Panacea. This CD is much more oriented towards the
dancefloor than the regular Panacea material. Dynamo could be best
described as harsh pounding disco for apocalyptic raves. Seventy more
minutes of efficient throbbing beats.

Ultramilkmaids / Imagho "By Mail..." (CD - 12$)
Mail collaboration between the two French bands for the Japanese SSSM
(Contagious Orgasm) label. We believe Imagho provided Ultramilkmaids
guitar sounds from which they remixed and worked from. And then gave
it back to Imagho. Harmonic minimal ambient. Fifty five minutes of
post-rock electronic. A very nice cardboard packaging. This is a
release like we usally love them!

P. Miles Bryson "ALong Day's Tango Into Night" (CD - 12$)
Very interesting minimal electronic and guitar effort. Organic noise
ambient surprisingly meditative with a zen touch. Somewhere in
between Organum and Thomas Köner. This CD is suitable for fans of
microtonal and minimal organic ambient.

Rob(u)Rang "Rang1" (CD - 10$)
The French Noise Museum label release this solo effort by no one else
than one half of Silk Saw. Four words… repetitive tribal minimal
techno. Very hypnotic pieces with a strong and thick sound.
Plasticman meets Silk Saw.

Inteligent techno with a touch of industrial. This compilation blends
newcomer to this genres as well as more famous names. With Dryft,

2. IMMINENT LIVE IN CANADA

Olivier Moreau's is coming very very soon for his first visit to
Canada. He is going to play two gigs with his main project Imminent
(Ant-Zen - Hymen) and one under the name of Olivier Moreau. Olivier
has worked under the name of Axiome, Imminent Starvation, Torsion,
Ambre, Urawa etc. This is not part of a tour or anything else. Just
two concerts for Imminent in North-America and then back to Europe.

But who is Baracuda? They will have exclusive tracks for compilations
on some of the most active labels in the scene this forthcoming fall
such as Hymen (Germany) and <unit> (USA). Take your chance to see
this growing act now. They have often been compared to Xingu Hill,
Beefcake or Gridlock. The influence of Autechre or Speedy J is never
really far!

Ticket price for the Imminent / Baracuda show in Montreal aren't set
yet. They most likely be very cheap. No pre-sale. There is also going
to be hardcore, drill and bass, industrial etc DJ's playing that
night such as the infamous DJ Iznogood. Tickets for Ottawa are 10$ at
the door. If you come from out of town, DJ Leslie can accomodate you.
The Ottawa show will certaintly be sold out. The venue for Montreal
is slightly larger and can contain a bigger audience. People coming
from the States can contact me if they have problems finding a place
to stay at in Montreal. They can get in touch with DJ Leslie for

I'm very glad to announce you what we hope is a reliable pressing
plant for Hed Nod. Hed Nod 04 release date is planned for August
2001. We hope however to start mailing the copies to subscribers
earlier than that.

As previously mentioned, the Hed Nod sessions will stop being pressed
on vinyl and we will start working on CD split sessions to give other
artists their chance. A couple artists have been considered but no

We have our new release, Mick Harris & Ambre, the new release from

2. AMMO : KALEINOSCOPE

Hushush is starting to distribute releases. We are very proud to
present you the first self-produced CD by Ammo (Fylco - Ant-Zen & Gun
Music). John N Sellekaers (Xingu Hill, Torsion, Snog etc) teamed up
with C-drik (Axiome, Crno Klank) in the creation of a new record
label (Falling Elevators) dedicated to their own work. Limited
edition of 300 copies packaged in a C-Shell, Kaleinoscope was
commissioned by Brussels 2000 - City of Culture, as part of the
Radiolab, Café 9 and Distorted Media projects. Recorded September 2,
2000 at the Brussels 2000 Headquarters. Remixed, edited and mastered
at Metarc. Source material includes samples from the Distorted Media
interactive sound database and from Lilith's Field Notes. People
familiar with The Age of Terminal Irony will discover an almost
beatless, more experimental side of this project...

3. HED NOD SERIES

Despite the massive support we have received from die-hard Mick
Harris fans, we didn’t find the right distributors sharing our
vision.  It has been very difficult for us to get the Hed Nod vinyls
to hit stores, we are going to conclude the vinyl series with the
forthcoming release of Hed Nod Session 04. Hed Nod Session 05 and the
rest of the series will most likely be released on CD. We are also at
this point considering giving some artists that exposure we think
they deserve by releasing split CD’s. More information to come on the
fourth session of the Hed Nod Series (such as the release date, the
colour etc) as well as the form of the forthcoming Hed Nod Sessions.

started a paper only newsletter called Den Zieverere. Every order

exclusive interviews of Mick Harris on the Threesome and the Hed Nod
Series, of John N Sellekaers on the Threesome Series. But we also

1. THREESOME SERIES

Today is a beautiful day, we are really glad to announce the
Threesome Series is about to end. The first disc was released in
March 2000, the second in August 2000 and now, after a 9 months
interruption, the third and final part is about to be ready. This
disc is going to surprise many. Using samples provided to him by
Ambre (John N Sellekaers, C-drik and Olivier Moreau), Mick Harris is
taking you into a very dense and subtle universe or sparkling and
colorful sound experiments. This is the first full-length release in
Mick Harris’ discography using electroacoustic techniques to the
level of this one.

Exclusive to us, first of a series of distribution collaboration in
between the new Belgian label (Falling Elevators) and Hushush, is the
series of four business card CD-R by John N Sellekaers. All four CD’s
are packed in a minimal bag, and each CD has its own full color card
leaflet with information. John is known for his mastering work under
the name of Metarc Studio, chosen by many as sign of high quality and
professionalism. But he is certainly better know to the public for
his many incarnations such as Xingu Hill, Ammo, Ambre, Torsion, Snog,
Moonsanto to name a few. This series of four mini CD’s is a breath
taking experiment. A chance for John to try techniques other labels
didn’t really allow him to fully experience. Very experimental
electroacoustic music that can for sure is linked with the
forthcoming Dys CD in collaboration with Mick Harris on Hushush. This
item is exclusive to us and is also very limited!

A very interesting item we have is also the CD by Nad Spiro on
Esplendor Geometrico’s label, which will please the fan of old
industrial experiments. Maximalist by Le Syndicat is a piece of
history in techno industrial music. Sigillum S also on Daft Records
(Dive, Hybryds etc) is no other than Eraldo Bernocchi (Bill Laswell,
Toshinori Kondo, Mick Harris etc). This Dive double CD is an piece of
collection with remixes by Numb, Laether Strip, Starfish Pool,
Monolith etc plus the re-release of the 1994 classic No Pain No Game.
The Trifid Project is James Plotkin (Old, Scorn etc) with Celluloid
Matta’s Matthieu and a couple of other friends on Vacuum (Ant-Zen
side label).  New additions from Crowd Control Activities, ranging
from As All Die military and death folk music to Inanna (Mikael
Stavöstrand) interesting minimal glitchy dark ambient. Imagine Caul
and Trust Obey getting collaboration from Swans’ Jarboe and you are
getting Blackmouth.

5. MISCELLANEOUS AND THANKS

Hushush will start to act as a real distributor in June with the
release of Ammo’s Kaleinoscope. This CD release limited to 300 copies
will be exclusive to us and will be available in the same time as Dys
by Mick Harris & Ambre. I would like to thank John and C-drik at
Falling Elevators for giving me the chance to distribute their
excellent output.

Hyalin, Hushush new collection dedicated to emerging artists within

The third instalment in the Threesome Series left Hushush Head
Quarter's for pressing. The disc by Mick Harris & Ambre "Dys" is a
combination of sonic experiments in a new form of electro-acoustic
music; five very long tracks consisting in organic tones and subtle
events. Hed Nod Session 04 has not left to pressing yet as we are
still looking for a better place to get our vinyl pressed since our
repetitive problems in our relationship with the former pressing
plant.

Ant-Zen (Germany) and Tesco (Germany) recording artist
A little is known about this artist hailing from Montréal, Québec.
Surrounded by a halo of secrecy, Vromb gained a considerable success
with his own musical universe. Ranging somewhere in between Esplendor
Géométrico and Chrome, his music made of many references to Science
Fiction has appealed the most difficult crowds from Europe and North-
America. Very varied scenes such as techno, industrial and noise
music gave to Vromb's two albums (the first on Tesco Records and the
second on Ant-Zen both from Germany) the best reception possible.
With only seven live apparances in about nine years of existence,
Vromb has a reputation of being a hard to catch band. So don't miss
your chance!

magic of monotony there is as well the soundtrack-like, dark science
fiction atmosphere contributing immensely to taking the listener on a
industrial, futuristic trance trip he / she will never forget.

acceptance in vromb's work having composed score-like tracks for
local film documentaries and tv specials as well as having
contributed various sequences of music for underground movies

ORPHX (Toronto area, Ontario)
Hands Productions (Germany) and Malignant (USA) recording artists
Orphx was formed in 1993 by Richard Oddie, Christina Sealey, and Aron
West to explore a mutual interest in experimental music and art.
Early recordings and live performances were primarily improvised,
using reel-to-reel tape machines, synthesizers, film projectors and
various amplifiers and effects. These early experiments were
documented on two cassettes and released on the Xcreteria tape label,
co-founded by Oddie and West in 1994.


SILK SAW (Brussels, Belgium)
Sub Rosa (Belgium) and Ant-Zen (Germany) recording artists
Silk Saw (Marc Medea and Gabriel Séverin) is a remittent duo who's
trying more and more to translate in sounds an internal climate, the
humming of the body singing of his own way, the basic vibration, deaf
and omnipresent, but that words can't almost never formulate. then,
music (in the ordinary meaning) doesn't have so much importance;
remain only the impulse, the beating/recognition signal of the body.
All this was already present in Jardin d’Usure, first project of
those two noise makers, but without the " groove ". a more dadaïst
(more impertinent) process and in French, which started in 1988.
Silk Saw’s performance is exclusive to North America!

Vromb is from Montreal, Quebec. And is involved with the Ant-Zen
labels from Germany. His first album was published on the famous
Tesco label. Orphx are from the Toronto area, Ontario, they are
involved with Hands Productions (Germany), their first album has been
released on Malignant Recordings (USA). Silk Saw are from Brussels,
Belgium, their first albums were recorded for the famous Belgian
label Sub Rosa. Their last two long playing releases were released on
the German label Ant-zen.

I will perfom as DJ Foe for most of the stops on this tour. I will be
spinning noise, power electronics, drum and bass etc. I will also
present an experimental video by Mark Nugent. Mark was involved with
Download, Dead Voices on Air, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Coil
etc.

We will have merchandising from many of the mentioned labels as well
as from Hushush. I might even bring some sold out items with me!!! So
come and say hi!

first of all, we really had to change our mailing list service provider
as we were experiencing many distribution troubles with Poplist.fr.

1. BEHIND THE CURTAIN INFORMATION

The two new CD releases are ready to take the street but in order
to serve our artists better, next days will see an important change
in Hushush's structure. We are going to change our legal status to
help us getting bank support in order to develop even more the
label and its activities. In the same time, we are still in the process
of finding new agreements to help our distribution in Europe and
North America. Hushush's current structure is not a strong enough
to serve our desires of releasing challenging music. The mind is
going to stay the same while the spine is to be redisgned. We
sincerly apologize for the delays caused by those changes and we
hope you understand and support us.
