The Indy Folk Series has presented the best in acoustic music since 2001. We feature selected Central Indiana artists such as Tim Grimm, Hogeye Navvy and the Hot Club of Naptown, in addition to such well-known performers as Bill Staines, David Mallett and Peter Ostroushko.

The annual Open Mic Night, held each November, presents a variety of local talent raising money for a worthy cause. Beneficiaries include Prevent Blindness Indiana, Horizon House, Habitat for Humanity, Improving Kids' Environment, and Indianapolis Public Schools music programs.

Concerts are held in a familiar coffehouse setting, with candles on the tables and an easy rapport between musicians and the audience. Karl Zemlin of Sonic Artistry does a superb job of sound reinforcment. (The sound is so good, in fact, that some groups have released albums recorded live at the IFS.)

Coffee, snacks and wine are available for a donation. Kids 12 and under are admitted free.
All Indy Folk Series events are held at UUI (Unitarian Universalist Church of Indianapolis) at 615 West 43rd Street, Indianapolis. UUI is Located just south of the Butler University campus.
