Here are two prime events coming up this weekend:
1. Blackberry Jam-The Folk Band at Indy Folk Series (7 pm Saturday, May 19)
2. Music for the People Benefit with violinist William Harvey (3 pm Sunday, May 20)
Both events are at UUI (Unitarian Universalist Church of Indianapolis)

1. Help close the sixth season of the Indy Folk Series with Blackberry Jam-The Folk Band
7 - 9 pm Saturday at UUI
Coffee, wine and snacks available
$10 admission
Enjoy a rousing evening as central Indiana's acoustic string band plays old-time, bluegrass, international folk tunes, country blues, Celtic, Cajun and cowboy songs. Sing along, dance, clap and add cow/coyote sounds (cowboy songs only.)
William Harvey is a Julliard-trained concert violinist from Indianapolis, preparing for his Carnegie Hall debut and a concerto performance in the Philippines.
William has founded Music for the People, which promotes international cultural understanding through music.
Hear music of Gershwin, Heifitz and Elgar, and support MFTP's projects this summer in Mexico, Turkey, Tunisia and Zimbabwe.
