Before jumping to the obvious conclusion, note that the favourites didn't win it last year, nor the year before. In fact, it's been won by outsiders both times (Julie Feeney and The Divine Comedy)

The last few are available on Ticketmaster.ie but if you can't get along to Vicar Street on the night, tune into Today FM (in Ireland) or www.todayfm.com to listen live to performances from the ten nominated Acts, as well as the announcement of the overall winner.

(incidentally, we had intended to give three winners all ten albums, but some of the labels responsible for the Acts never responded to our request for review/competition copies of the Albums, so we only have three each of ten albums, and had to source the rest of the albums ourselves. Just goes to show how unimportant we poor little beggars are in the grand scheme of the Irish music Industry. So we must be doing something right, eh?)
