News Odds & Ends & JamiroTalk Funky Easter Egg Hunt!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1676 of 1839 |

Hello JAMIROQUAI Club Members,

Hope everyone had a nice Easter holiday, mine was nice but hectic.
Here's the latest:

1# Jamirotalk.net has just added an Easter Egg hunt to the forums of
the site.

If you find 12 "eggs" which are hidden in recent posts, you'll
get an "easter surprise". It doesn't take long to find the eggs and
the reward is pretty cool.

All the information about how to take part in the 2007 Easter Egg
hunt can be found at Jamirotalk.net (LINK: http://tinyurl.com/25nlmb ).
* Special thanks to the Funkin Site for this @ http://funkin.com *

2# An interview with the band that was broadcast in Hong Kong back
in January can be heard by visiting the TRHK Radio 3 website (LINK:
http://tinyurl.com/22rrag ). In the interview Jay talks about why
Half The Man isn't on the High Times greatest hits album, and what the
band's plans are for when they next go on tour.

The interview starts at around 33 minutes into the stream. In
addition to the interview they also broadcast the live recording of
Love Foolosophy that was played live on BBC Radio 2 (UK) in November 2006.

3# For those looking for some funk to listen to whilst Jamiroquai
take a break, ex-Jamiroquai band member Mike Smith (saxophone) is
featured on a classic funk album that has just been re-issued. The
Sound Stylistics: Play Deep Funk, which was originally recorded in
2002, features artists who have played with bands such as James Taylor
Quartet, Incognito, The Brand New Heavies and Snowboy.

More information, samples of the album tracks and links to
purchase it are available from the Freestyle Records website (LINK:
http://tinyurl.com/24ghnm ). Samples of all the tracks can be heard
at the Groove Attack website (LINK: http://tinyurl.com/2bbmy5 ).

4# And finally, as a bit of an Easter treat, from the downloads page
of the Funkin site you can now download a new bootleg vinyl remix of
When You Gonna Learn!

The "Pound For Pound" remix first appeared around March of this
year and if you want the real thing in your hands, the 12" vinyl can
be purchased from stores such as Hard To Find (LINK:
http://tinyurl.com/26o5fw ). You can find the download of this if you
follow the link at the end of this newsitem.

There you go, all the news for now. See you soon with more news!
Peace!
