Hello JAMIROQUAI Club Members,
Hope you all having a great late Spring, been trying to take it easy
as much I can, here's the latest:
1# Fellow JamiroTalker Peggy got an additional band update and
posted it on Talk, here's what is happening:
Yeah; it was really great ! Matt was in a good mood and he was
very nice to us. He laughed when he saw my t-shirt ! (he was probably
thinking something like 'oh boy, another crazy one !!!) He said there
are offers from different labels but nothing is decided yet as they
want to make a new album first and than see what they will do. The new
album will be fresh... I asked how, but the only word he kept on
saying was 'fresh'. And maybe even by the end of this year, but
nothing is sure. They have loads of ideas, and are taking it easy.
When i asked him about touring next year he didn't answer, it was more
like 'hmm, maybe, don't know'.
Rob is enjoying family life. And they did some gigs as you have read
before, i asked him about the one with Nicole Russo and he told me
that it went very good and sounded great.
That's it more or less, can't remember everything exactly (too much
wine !!!) but we know something now !
* Special thanks to Peggy & Dyego from JamiroTalk.net for this *
2# Jamiroquai have set up a profile page on the upstart new social
networking site called "Virb". You can view it here, and you will
notice there are some NEW press pictures of JK that have never seen
before:
JAMIROQUAI VIRB PAGE:

I find this new community much easier to navigate than the
over-adverted MySpace. Your truly has set up a profile page on Virb
too, peep me out at:

3# French radio station NRJ have recently released a 3CD compilation
entitleld "NRJ Story" - featuring singles dating back to the 1980's
and Jamiroquai's Space Cowboy makes it onto the list.
The album is available from online stores including fnac.com
(LINK:

4# It seems that every few weeks we hear about another Jamiroquai
tribute/cover band that's out there. Well, here's another one for you...
Dynamite is an Italian Jamiroquai Tribute Band based out of
Modena who have been established since 2006. I recommend you visit
their site at
http://www.dynamiteweb.it , have a look at their photo
gallery but most of all have a listen to some of their audio demos.
They're really put effort into listening and learning how Jamiroquai
sound live and I think they've done an excellent job.
I know that Jamiroquai cover/tribute bands are not for
everybody's taste, but visit their site.

5# The 28 May issue of People Magazine (US), after a review of the
new album by Maroon 5, there is a reference and invitation to check
out Jamiroquai and their greatest hits album "High Times: Singles
1992-2006".
It's always good to see magazines pick up on Jamiroquai, but as
for the close similarity between Maroon 5 and Jamiroquai - I
personally just don't get it (PICTURE LINK:

There you go, all the news for now. The dog days of late
spring/early summer are sure to bring more newsless weeks, but I thank
you all for continuing to visit this group and I'm sure things will be
much more busy for Jamiroquai in the coming fall. Take care and see
you soon with more news! Cheers!
