Yes, you are correct. In a later post I stated this myself (that what I really wanted was to gain a better understanding of the why of Jazz Harmony). I think...
Since we're talking about books on understanding jazz harmony, maybe this one is also interesting to mention. Three weeks ago I bought a book called "Harmony...
Alain Conrad's book is excellent. He cuts through the mountains of "bulls**t" that other books and methods espouse and tells it like it is - if you can't hear...
Jeff You can get it direct from Charles Alexander's Jazzwise in the UK: http://www.jazzwise.com/shop/index.html?target=p_1257.html&lang=en-gb Unfortunately it...
I went to the Tadley Ewing webpages and downloaded the sample chapters, so I am intrigued and would like to get a copy of the Conrad Cork book. I spent a fair...
Brian As far as I know there is no US distributor. IMO Conrad tells it like it is, and the publishing concerns here in the US have their own sets or books,...
I've read both intro and the sample chapter. His ideas are refreshing and he writes very, very well. I placed an order for the book already (along with Green...
I ordered the book the other day from amazon.co.uk, which promptly recognized my US amazon.com account and gave me what seemed to be appropriate shipping...
When I lived in NYC on more than one occasion I ordered from amazon.co.uk and the shipping was quite reasonable. Usually the reason was the book was not...
I ordered the book directly from the author's site. You then also get a cd with the "lego bricks". Please note that this is not the companion tape you have to...
