ABOUT THE THOMSON JAZZ CLUB
The Thomson Jazz Club comprises many amateur and professional jazz musicians and vocalists from Singapore and all over the world. To-date they have three big bands and also some small ensembles. The Thomson Swing Band plays big band and swing favourites every month at the Harry's Bar (Boat Quay) accompanied by Lindy Hoppers from Singapore and all over the world. The club also conducts regular jam sessions for experienced and budding jazz musicians and vocalists. Listeners are welcome to sit in and enjoy the music at no cost. Thomson also organises other programmes such as jazz workshops among other things.
You need not perform in any of Thomson's bands to be eligible for membership.

For the first time ever in Singapore, and as part of celebrations for the 10th Anniversary of Thomson Jazz Club, we are bringing together every single big band in the country for an unforgettable evening of jazz music. 8 jazz ensembles, including all three of the Thomson groups, NUS Jazz Band and music ensembles from ITE, Singapore American school and United World College will perform swing, jump, latin, funk and vocal music. Jitterbugs Swingapore will provide more slick dance moves.
