Farid "Mr Gambus” Ali is one of the finest jazz guitarists in the region. Now he's back in Singapore especially for the Mosaic Music Festival. He kicks off the evening performing with his band, and closes the night in a highly pumped jam with his friends from Good Omens in a soul-shaking performance that will be off the scale!
Comprising some of Singapore's finest musicians, Good Omens brings you well-known jazz standards with a twist that will leave you wanting more.
JAZZ FINGERS
(Part 2)
The Living Room
6.30 - 7pm Paul Ponnudorai
9 - 9.30pm Nial Djuliarso (Indonesia)
Consider this a showcase of Singapore's music titans. Jazz Fingers boasts the talent of Rick Smith (jazz guitar), Christy Smith (double bass), Paul Ponnudorai (guitar), Andrew Lim (guitar), Mei Sheum (keyboard) and Nial Djuliarso (piano).
Virtuoso blues guitarist and singer Paul Ponnudorai defies musical boundaries with disarming ease. Watch your old favourites take on a new cloak as he deconstructs and reinterprets them to great effect. A true musical adventure.
Indonesian pianist, Nial Djuliarso was a finalist in the Time Montreux Jazz Solo Piano competition in 2005. He's now pursuing a music degree in the US.
