Nuris is no stranger to the music scene. She has recorded for the soundtracks of local director Jack Neo's movies and has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress at Life! Theatre Awards in 2002 for her performance in the Toy Factory musical, Beautiful Thing. Nuris is also a regular performer at several jazz clubs around Singapore. Joining her onstage are Syed Munir (of Parking Lot Pimp) on guitar and Joe Jeya on percussion.
