Week 1 - Thomson Swing Band
Week 2 - Singapore Jazz Orchestra Although young, the Singapore Jazz Orchestra has successfully staged its own concert at the Arts House in September 2005 and a public concert at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre in December of 2005. Also, it is the orchestra-in-residence of Lasalle-SIA College of the Arts.
Week 3 - Rostrevor College (Jazz Ensemble from Australia) Music is a feature of the Rostrevor curriculum, and has a comprehensive programme of musical activities, both curricular and co-curricular. The College Music Department supports tuition in a full range of vocal and instrumental music and encourages students to perform publicly. Rostrevor's bands are highly regarded and sought after. Students regularly perform with renowned musicians such as James Morrison, Don Burrows, Tommy Emmanuel, Paul Kelly, Brian Cadd, Glen Shorrock and Ross Wilson.
Week 4 - SIA Jazz Band The Band was initially mooted as a marching band participating in many international parades and was later developed into a Symphonic band. However with new dimensions add-on, SIA band is now developed and equipped with stage band capabilities performing lively jazz and easy listening pop music with singers. Jazz by the Beach allows the SIA Jazz Band an opportunity to show case their talents for the public. It is also part of SIA efforts to contribute to the community through Arts. |
