Thanks For Participating
We would like to thank everyone for participating in the event. We are glad that most joined us for the first time.
Participants were from diverse groups such as:
Jazz Singapore Club
NUSA Jazz & Lindy Hop eGroup
NUS CACS Lindy Hop
NUSA Arts & Culture SIG
Various social groups from NUSA, SYEN, etc.
The Lindy Hoppers had a pleasant surprise as this year’s compere is also a fellow Jitterbug!
The free workshop started with a performance featuring smooth swings and exhilarating acrobatic moves known as aerials or air-steps.
We Had A Live Band Again!
Although unannounced, the audience was accompanied by a live band! As expected, the Lindy Hoppers danced again to the Broken Orange Fence band, comprising Lindy Hopper-turned-vocalist, Joanna Dong, and accomplished jazz musicians such as Lin Chow (drums) & Helen Chuan (keyboards).
The band played many big band and other favourites such as “Sing, Sing, Sing”, “L-O-V-E” and “Fly Me to the Moon”.
Coming Up – Dance Videos on YouTube!
As it is hard to describe a dance using photographs, expect to see videos uploaded soon.
