“For the love of Buckley: 2nd annual Jeff Buckley Tribute Celebration”

2 charities will benefit from musical tribute


January 7, 2003 (Toronto): The Rivoli on Queen St. W. will once again be
the place to be on January 23, 24, 25, as local and international musicians
participate in a tribute to the late Jeff Buckley.

An American troubadour, Jeff had already toured internationally and released
his first CD “Grace”, when he died tragically in 1997. Committed to sharing
the gift of music with people, Jeff’s legacy is the influence of his musical
style on others.

“Last year’s event was an amazing success”, explains Catherine Harrison of
Purple Voodoo Productions, one of the event’s promoters,”…..three nights of
music and celebration with an eclectic mix of performers and music styles.
We raised more than $5,000 for the 2 charities. This year, we hope to have
the same atmosphere and variety, while keeping the spirit of Jeff’s music
alive.”

This year’s scheduled performers include Sarah Slean, Kurt Swinghammer,
Jonathan Seet, Sara Kamin, Adam Wade, National Anthem, Raine, Garden of
Soul.

Steve’s Music is generously supplying all back-up instruments and equipment,
while Steamwhistle Brewery has donated advertising and refreshments. Koch
Entertainment has offered their services of media communications for the
event.

Proceeds from the tribute will go to Road Recovery, a non-profit
organization supported by the Jeff Buckley Estate to promote the benefits of
substance-free living through the power of music, and the Regent Park School
of Music, a locally-subsidized program offering music lessons and
instruments to under-privileged children in Toronto.

Tickets will be available through MapleMusic.com and at the door.
