(1) Tori Amos has recorded her version of Joe Jackson's 1982
song "Real Men". It is one of twelve songs on her new studio album,
entitled "Strange Little Girls", which will be released by Atlantic
Records on 18 September.
According to the record company's press release, "all the songs on
the album were written by men, but are performed by Tori from the
perspectives of a diverse cast of female characters. Songs composed
by such artists as Neil Young, the Stranglers, Eminem, Depeche Mode,
Slayer, Lou Reed, Lennon/McCartney, and others are taken apart and
put back together darkly, gently, and in an uncompromising fashion."
Following the release of the album, Tori will embark on a major US
tour which will feature her solo at her keyboards.

with Joe.
