Just as a matter of curiosity, I emailed the contacts listed on the Queen
Mothers website back in October asking how to get in touch with Dale DeVere and
if he/she might be interested in doing an interview with me for a documentary
project I was working on. A bout two weeks later I received the following reply
from someone named Katrina:

"In answer, I spoke to Johnny and Barbara who basically run things and they said
the following- Joe J is NOT Dale - that was kind of a joke for years. Dale had
some kind of life crisis and isn't even doing drag anymore so she (now he)
recently asked Barbara to removed her page from our site. Hope this isn't too
confusing, but that's the story at least how I understand it. Best wishes."

Dale DeVere's website on Queen Mother's TV was pulled by the time I got the
message and has not been up since. Let the debate rage on!
