Hi everyone
July is here and it's already time for the second single from our
forthcoming album, the summer song "Love In July". The track is a song
about being in love with last year's summer romance and wishing that
he/she would come back to your town (maybe that reminds you of another
current Scandinavian electropop track, but at least Sally didn't get
pregnant!). It's more hopeful than "Miracle" and it's very summery. It
was written July last year, again by Johan and Roger. Cloetta Paris and
Clive Reynolds sing backing vocals during the last chorus (and that's
not their only appearance on the forthcoming album, they also wrote
"Save Your Love").
The single will be out as a download on iTunes, Beatport etc on July
14th (North America)/July 17th (Europe) on Paper Bag and Permanent
Vacation. Unfortunately there wasn't time to press vinyl this time
since we came up with the single idea quite recently and the remixes
were finished just a few weeks ago. But we have some very nice remixes
in the package. Parker Lewis is the alias of Tom Bioly, 50% of
Permanent Vacation. Le Prix is the alias of Johan Emmoth, 50% of Zoo
Brazil and Laid. CFCF you remember from his nice "Time To Let Go" remix
and Bostro Pesopeo is on Permanent Vacation's roster.
1. Love In July (Original Mix) 3:46
2. Love In July (Parker Lewis Remix) 6:34
3. Love In July (Le Prix Remix) 6:06
4. Love In July (CFCF Remix) 3:57
5. Love In July (Bostro Pesopeo Remix) 6:50
6. Love In July (Instrumental) 3:46
There is also a music video to the track, created by Paul Leeny & David
Loom. Paul Leeny earlier made an unofficial "Time To Let Go" music
video, which we liked so much that we asked him and his partner David
(www.davidloom.net) to make an official one. We were not disappointed.
In the music video a whale and a fish fall in love, get surrounded by
ice, but the sun of July melts the ice and makes love possible. Head
over to MySpace to watch it and listen to the song.
